"This hotel is a very new build. Family owned. Everything was new and clean, the rooms are very spacious with a very spacious bathroom to go with it. "We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building."

"Het inchecken verliep prima. Maar toen we de (schone) kamer inkwamen, was het alsof we een sauna inliepen. De zon had de hele dag vol in de kamer geschenen, dus het was er bloedheet. Er kon geen raam open en er was geen airco of ventilator. We moesten de koffers op de grond zetten, en konden geen kleding eruit halen omdat er geen kast aanwezig was. Ook even goed kunnen zitten was niet mogelijk, aangezien er geen stoelen stonden en er was ook geen tafel. Dus dan maar op het bed zitten om nog wat...

"Die Lage direkt am See und nahe am Wald ist top. Man braucht ein Auto für zb Einkäufe. Leider waren keine Fliegen/-Mückennetze vorhanden und es hat in der Hütte gewimmelt vor Mücken. Bei Außentemperaturen von mehr als 25 Grad ist es innen auch sehr sehr warm. Die Austattung ist sehr minimal. Trotzdem war es ein schöner Aufenthalt und wir saßen fast nur draußen auf der „Terasse“."

"Several things stood out for us: first of all Kathelijn. Because we arrived from abroad on Christmas Eve I had a lot of questions and requests for her and every single one was answered quickly and kindly.The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the apple pie was indeed delicious. I also wanted to mention her mum who was very welcoming when we arrived.The house is fabulous with plenty of space for the 11-13 people we celebrated Christmas with. Everything works and we all loved the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms.Kitchen is fully kitted out and there was nothing we missed even when cooking all meals for 3 days.Would recommend."
