Location Location Location

The property was just as we expected. It’s a great Florida home that met our needs very well. We loved it and we’ll come back. The home is situated in a perfect location- sun all day, great view of the waterway, (sunset delight} and if you’ve had enough sun, wonder under the covered porch and still be part of the group around the pool. We were a party of 6 adults and a one year old. The place was perfect for the adults and the baby- flat and no second storey. The kitchen was very well eqipped with pots/pans/utensils etc. We brought spices/salt/pepper and basic with us. The BBQ was a little lame, but did the trick for burgers and dogs (I’m a bit of a a BBQ snob and like my Weber BBQ). Dine inside or outside, lots of table space and dishes for both. There are lots of great mid range dinning places 10 minutes away- Uber and Skip all deliver to the house. The pool is fabulous for old and young- stairs in the deep end and shallow end. There were no bugs around at all, so sitting out at night time was not a problem. It's a very private and quiet location and you do not hear of see any neighbours. It is a short walk to a very nice beach. Everything you need for a day at the beach is in the garage. The home is well set up for recycling and garbage. Hostess Lesley is wonderful- she is highly attentive, very polite, plus she knows the property and local area very well.

Tired Property

We stayed here for a family wedding. Overall the spacious property is run down - not much attention to general maintenance. Family members cleaned upon their arrival (I have alerted the property manager). during our stay we found a diaper under a bedroom chair (we were all adults! Not ours!). The kitchen faucet cold water valve sprung a leak - fixed next day - but evidence of previous leaks. Needs a good once over (caulk, paint, etc.) to bring it up to a truly spectacular property - along with a deep cleaning between rents. The location was fantastic and the pool offered many fun times for us to enjoy each others company.

Very nice!

Enjoyed our stay very much! Loved the privacy of the property. The pool was great and private. The view of the bay and the sunsets were so nice and serene. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen supplies were good (except we wished there had been a crockpot, since there were six of us staying there, and we'd hoped to use one). But overall a very nice rental! Would definitely recommend to others.

Okay not Great

The view of Lemon Bay, the proximity to Manasota Beach, and the heated swimming pool are the best features of this house. The open floor plan and room configuration of the house worked well for our group of 5 adults and 2 children. While the home's consumables were in woefully short supply, the pool and beach items were a pleasant surprise. Here are the negatives in no particular order. 1. Marginally stocked kitchen and bathrooms. No backup toilet paper, paper towels, aluminum foil, trash bags, etc. We purchased these items and left many behind for the next guest. 2. Cleanliness was bad. Spider webs, filthy old worn carpets, stained and frayed furniture, tile floors cracked, chipped and stained and no pool skimmer. We texted Lesley and she eventually sent a pool skimmer over. 3. Entire house badly needs a refresh in every room. Furniture, fixtures and appliances are old and show it. The TV's in the bedrooms are a joke. Smallest TV screens I've ever seen. I rated the overall home's experience a 3 because of lack of Overall Cleanliness. Would I rent this location again? No, there are many more options in the immediate area to choose from.

Relaxing house for group

we had a wonderful time with group of 6 ladies. view of the boats, and we saw manatees splashing, relaxing pool and plenty of room for all. quiet area with little traffic. we are definitely coming again

Views are worth it!

While somewhat outdated, the house is ideally located near Manasota Beach with a lovely water view and a great pool. The house furnishings could use some attention, upholstery is stained and showers need to be recaulked for example, but everything was functional. The house is spacious and near Venice. It was a little far for our visits to Sarasota. If you are planning to go to the beach, you will need to bring your own umbrellas and chairs. The large pool and outdoor view really stoled the show and made the stay great.

Wonderful property but could have used some cleaning

I will start by saying that the property and views were fantastic. Everything was as well maintained as one could expect from a vacation rental. However, it was clear that it had not been cleaned (crumbs all over) and the bed sheets looked like they had been attacked by a dog. As others have mentioned, a few amenities like beach chairs and better towels would have been nice, but did not take away from our stay. All in all, just about everything was great and will be forever spoiled by the view by the pool. But, at this price point, and during COVID, I would have expected a cleaner house upon arrival with a bit more attention to detail (sheets, towels, etc). This was just a step away from being a perfect stay.

Privacy and Togetherness

We have returned to this home for our annual reunion because it offers everything we enjoy, space for gathering inside or poolside and kitchen. We appreciate the proximity to the beach and most of all the serene views. It is perfect for us!

Nice house but not very clean

Webs and spiders in corners and windows and behind beds and dressers. Had to buy our own laundry soap until some Was delivered. No trash bags or toliet papers provided until we asked and were told that usually isn’t provided. For 3k we felt the house should be cleaner and have everything provided... otherwise kids loved pool, nice view and location.

Comfy but very simple

Very appealing location, 10 min of walk to the beach. Heated pool, lanai, plenty of space are appealing as well. However, the provision of beach supplies is not enough. There was just one good beach chair and the one is very old and rusted. For 7 adults it is not enough. Beach towels are very old as well and of the size of children rather than of adults. Cutlery is very old and could be replaced as well. Linens are on the old side too. So, to summarize, the place itself is very good, but it would benefit from renewing/ refreshing necessities that make every day life. And the bottom kitchen cabinets and drawers would benefit from inside wiping. Lesley, the hostess, is very prompt to all requests and questions,, although communicating via text would be more simpler than via email. I hope that she will consider what I mentioned. Thank you.

Perfect house for a family

The layout of the house was perfect for a large family. The pool was heated, which made it nice for spring break when it is still a bit chilly. The house was clean. The location was perfect as well, close to lots of beaches! The property manager was very responsive. We had a great stay, no complaints from us!

Beautiful View

It was nice to get away for a few days and we couldn't have picked a better place. Getting to the beach was a short bike ride over the bridge and while we were at the house, we enjoyed the pool and the beautiful view. I hope to return to this same house next year.

Perfect getaway

This house was the perfect relaxing getaway for us. Everyone had their own space and the kids spent the whole time in the pool. We would definitely rent here again!

Nice home.

We enjoyed the home and the pool. We ate all of our meals by the pool while watching boats go by in the bay, the fish jumping, and a family of raccoons playing. The house is a short drive to the beach and boat ramp. The owner replied very quickly with any questions or issues. Thanks Leslie for a great vacation.

Awesome Property Awesome Manager

This property was secluded, even though close to both properties on each side. The view of Lemon Bay from the pool was amazing! We saw many dolphins and one put on a jumping show like Sea World. Manasota Beach is always amazing! Lesley the manager was unbelievably helpful, nice and very quick to reply. Great great trip.

Séjour et endroit très agréable

Perfect home for our reunion!

We loved the spacious living and the great pool area with water view. The home was well equipped and very comfortable. We could hear the waves at the beach when there was cloud cover and the quiet privacy was perfect.

Perfect house for a family vacation

Had a great stay here. Well stocked kitchen. Nice walk to the beach, or even quicker drive. Lelsey was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Loved waking up to lemon bay every morning too. Everyone loved the pool. Great place to stay.

What a beautiful home, lots of room, pool and view was just what we needed to get away.

This well-furnished home has lots of light, room, and such a relaxing view from the master suite, kitchen, dinette, and living room. With four children ages from 14 months to 13 years, there was more than enough space. The pool, of course, was the main attraction and large enough for all eight of us to enjoy. Just lounging beside the pool to enjoy the bay view was so relaxing. The home has everything we needed, towels, linens, blankets, games, books, WiFi, and televisions. We thought the kitchen was well-stocked with all needed to prepare meals. The location of the home is perfect, just a mile from Manasota beach and close to several others such as Venice, Nakomis, Siesta Key. It is close to shopping and dining and not too far from some attractions in the area such as Myakka River Cruise at Snook Haven. Our fun-in-the-sun away from the northern cold and snow week passed too quickly. We liked this home so much, we plan to return next year.

Absolute gorgeous location, overall cleanliness, not so much.

The number one, hands down best thing about this house was the view. Couldn’t be beat, waking up and looking out over the inter coastal every day. Didn’t really make up for the over all cleanliness and quirks of the place. Let’s begin. Upon our arrival, there was a distinct odor in the house. Turns out it was the completely full garbage can left in the garage, in Florida summer heat mind you, by the previous tenants. Got in on a Monday, garbage pick up is Friday. Ok gotta stick that one out. The pool was green, given the amount of rain in the previous weeks I can’t really fault them, and the pool man was there when we arrived. Eventually over the week the pool cleared up. The light switches throughout the house were at knee level, and well over half of them didn’t work or did nothing. Couldn’t figure out if that was because things weren’t plugged In or not. Mold on the ceilings, the carpet needed shampooing, and hair all over the master bathroom. The dishwasher didn’t work, couldn’t figure out the trick to get it to work. Turned it on, set it to start and nothing. Two days later it turned on all by itself. Never figured that one out. Overall the house was so so. The location was perfect, the view was phenomenal, but there was some much needed updating that needs to occur. Harsh review aside, I would rent there again, just needs a better cleaning company, trash etc, and a thorough electrical overhaul and some updating. Maybe by next year, that will happen.
