Rainbow Country Cabin is on a beautiful and private river-front property south of Emigrant, Montana. Plenty of room to ride bikes, cast a line in the river or read a great book in the sun or relax next to the fire pit. Access to any services requires a drive, however the peace and quiet as well as the views are totally worth the country setting. There are a few other nearby homes on this beautiful riverfront stretch. In addition, there are some wildlife neighbors in the area -- deer, elk, rabbits and other critters. There were five of us that stayed very comfortably for the week. We were so pleased with the location. The cabin was stocked very well. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed the views and river. We would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic stay just a few feet from the Yellowstone River! Cabin is so comfortable and warm. Plenty of space and great host. We were 11 in our group and felt we had plenty of room !!!
Excellent location. Great for fishing, stargazing and close to north entrance of Yellowstone. All the conveniences of home you could need. Only down side was functional but dated appliances.
Beautiful Riverside location with fabulous views and a firepit was the reason we gave the place five stars. The cabin needs some repairs like lights not working and screens need replacing. This is in the country so be prepared for pests like wasps and
mice
We recently stayed at this property with our adult children and teen daughter. There were seven of us and two large dogs. The house was laid out well with lots of space to spread out and have privacy when needed, but also family oriented for game time and meals together. There are two full bathrooms, one has a shower and one has a tub. The kitchen was fully stocked. The home is just off the small highway, but only the people who live on the street would have a reason to drive by, so it's very quiet and we weren't worried about the dogs running into the road.
The view from the house is incredible. There is a firepit with a couple of benches right on the river... we were fortunate enough to watch a bald eagle coming and going from it's nest just across the river from us over the week that we spent there. There are elk that graze in the field across from the house too.
It was only about a 20 minute drive to the North entrance of Yellowstone park and about 30 minutes to the closest town of Livingston, where there were lots of great shops and yummy restaurants. There were lots of hiking trails within 15 minutes drive. There is a small lake just up the road as well that we drove to and spent the day fishing and reading and relaxing in the sun.
We had a few questions leading up to and during our stay and Nicole, the property manager was super responsive and helpful. We had an amazing time... we didn't want to leave! We will definitely book here again the next time we visit.
Wonderful location on the river for fishing , viewing and roasting marshmallows. Our family adjusted to the half bath with the only shower. We did not utilize the whirlpool bathtub.
This house was amazing and one the best rental houses we’ve ever stayed in. The location was unbelievable! This house had all the amenities we needed and sitting on deck or by fire pit listening to the Yellowstone River was relaxing and priceless! We enjoyed watching bald eagles and Ospreys diving down to catch fish plus watching fishing rafts go down the river. Also The distance from the few houses around make you feel as if you’re the only people in area and stars are so bright at night due to lack of ambient light from towns or cities. If you’re looking for great base location to do day trips to Yellowstone National Park through North Entrance, this is the location! Location allows you to go into town (Livingston and Bozeman) to the North and Gardiner to the South plus several great breakfast, lunch, and dinner local options on the Rt89 within 15 minutes from house as well!

Needs Work
This home needed to wait six months before renting.
1. There is a distinct odor in the home that is mildew/septic related coming from the basement. It was not as harsh at times but other times it was horrible. When I spoke to the Company handling the home she fully admits that the Septic was being pumped next week so it was known.
2. Due to this odor. One would want the windows open. But some screens were missing, others had holes in them. And at night the mosquitos were awful so you could not have them open. And since there was only one portable air conditioning unit. You roasted all night long. When I spoke to to the Company by email handling the home she says that screens had been ordered since May.
3 The mattresses are old and stained, they need to be replaced as they are NOT comfortable in any way shape or form.
I did not want to leave this review as it is not the way that I do things. But the email that I sent to the Company stated why was I not told about this before. She did not even respond to that question. This home is priced to high for what you get. Renter beware.
