70's Park Side Cabin with Kayaks

"The house was ideal for our needs, especially with my son getting married just down the road; it was the perfect spot for the bridal party to get ready. However, some areas of the home could use better cleaning, and there was a strong sewer odor upstairs. The queen bed in the upstairs bedroom had such an uncomfortable mattress that my husband ended up sleeping on the couch."

"To begin with, we were in town for a wrestling camp. I specifically ordered a room with a jacuzzi so my child could soak in between sessions. We get there, and there is somehow no record of that, and I was told it was likely a mixup on the website. They had a jacuzzi room available, but the jacuzzi wasn't hooked up in that room for some reason. The website advertised a free breakfast, and there was no breakfast offered. The ice machine on the 3rd floor was unplugged and FILTHY (I have a pic). In our room, the light was hanging freely from the fixture (I have a pic). There was a box of Kleenexes on the counter, with a giant wad of Kleenex shoved in the slot that was disgustingly crusty and smashed together (I have a pic). The elevator ceiling was non-existent with wires hanging down. The cleaning person threw away a bunch of hair ties off the counter so we had to go to Walmart and purchase new. The second day we came back from the camp and our door wasn't even shut from the cleaning crew. I met someone outside on Saturday night who was asking me if the place was even open bc nobody was around. I directed him to the Super 8 up the road. 10/10 Would NOT recommend."

"Right along the river just as described. The covered patio is perfect morning or night! Comfortable bed, and no complaints from our daughters about the pull-out queen bed. Plenty of inside and outside seating too. We loved finding another unique place to stay."

"The Blue House on Boone was perfect for our trip to Troy for my son’s wedding! It was just a couple of blocks from the venue which allowed us to come and go easily and quickly. There was a well stocked kitchen for our rehearsal dinner cooking. The open floor plan of the home allowed 2 of us to be in the kitchen and still connected with the rest of the family in the living room. The 2 full baths fit the needs of the 4 of us and were stocked with plenty of towels. The house in general is decorated in a warm and comfy vibe, but the master bedroom was my favorite space! The bed was super comfy and the details helped me relax for a good night sleep the night before the wedding. We had a beautiful wedding and a perfect stay! Thank you for hosting us!"

"We had a lovely time at this little cabin. It was perfect for our family of four, and would be a great little home base for exploring the Cuivre river. The hot tub was great, and the cabin design was really charming and unique. We will be back if we’re in the area again!"
