"We had a wonderful weekend at the Lakeside Cottage! Bill was a terrific host, and the house was clean, cozy, and charming. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves all weekend, and there was a great combination of indoor and outdoor spaces to hang out. We usually travel with our 4 kids, and the space would have been big enough for all 6 of us, but it was very nice to have room to spread out for just the two of us! We used two of the bikes available with the property, which were in good condition and a very nice way to spend a warm fall afternoon. We enjoyed walking to the beach, exploring the many nearby natural areas. The fall colors were in peak form, and we were glad to be in Lakeside, which is a little more secluded and quiet than the nearby beach towns. We had a great stay and will look to stay here again when we're next back in SW Michigan."

"My daughter and I stayed here as a little writer's retreat. And some time together. It was lovely. We lit a fire which was easy to do, got in the hot tub often, brought my dog with me and she was very comfortable, cooked all her meals there and went to the lake and took walks. Everything was lovely.. we even grilled one night."

"Check in was very simple. Kitchen was fully stocked with more than enough flatware, stoneware, stemware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, you name it, it is most likely there. The entire place was clean, felt like home. We all brought bins full of stuff due to past VRBO experiences, we hardly had to dig into them. Only needed ziploc bags for storage, other than that, they've got it covered. Beautiful place perfect for a small gathering of friends or a quick little family get away."
