We’re located 1 block from Betsie Lake, a paradise for fishing, birdwatching, and boating enthusiasts. Within a short 5-minute drive, you'll find downtown Frankfort, where you can explore specialty shops and galleries, offering unique crafts and tasty treats. With Crystal Lake only 10 minutes away and Crystal Mountain (known for its golfing and skiing) a mere 20-minute drive, you’ll find yourself immersed in the natural beauty of the region. For nature lovers, Northern Arches is ideally situated near renowned attractions like Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, home to towering dunes reaching over 200 feet in height. And with easy access to the Platte River and Betsie Valley Trail, you’ll have opportunities to bike, hike, and kayak to your heart’s content.

Northern Arches provides a quiet, peaceful, and private retreat for your stay. The one-of-a-kind home comfortably accommodates four guests across two bedrooms. Upon arrival, you'll park in the driveway and enter through the large private patio adorned with market lights, setting a cozy ambiance in the evenings.

Once inside, you're greeted by a space that effortlessly combines hospitality, comfort, and rustic warmth with a touch of modern design. The rooms are connected by welcoming arches, while the original hardwood floors add character to the home. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a Nespresso bar, gas stovetop, sub-zero refrigerator and more…perfect for culinary adventures. You'll also find a comfortable dining room, a cozy living room where you can enjoy a movie or show, and a sun-filled front porch, ideal for leisurely breakfasts and losing yourself in a captivating book. Take a moment on the porch to appreciate the mesmerizing bottle dash wall, which comes alive with vibrant colors when the sun hits it just right!

Guest access:
You'll have access to the entire property except for the upstairs & inside of garage.

Our house was built in 1926, and while we've done a lot to make it feel homey, comfortable, and beautiful, it still retains some of its original quirks.

As you explore the house, you may notice that the floors and doors can be a bit squeaky, adding a touch of nostalgia to your stay. The bathroom, while functional, is on the smaller side. Several of the windows in the sunroom and porch are painted shut, but we have provided additional options such as add-in screens or dowels to prop open the ones that are accessible. Additionally, fans are available in each bedroom to ensure your comfort on warmer days.

The washer and dryer are located in our semi-unfinished Michigan basement. Please keep in mind that the stairs leading to the basement are typical of older homes, so we kindly advise using them with a little extra caution.
