The Space:

Hora Feliz is a single-level adobe home in El Prado, perfectly positioned between historic Taos and the Taos Ski Valley, with sweeping views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the high-desert valley. Warm Southwestern character runs throughout, from viga-beamed ceilings and a wood-burning kiva fireplace to handcrafted furnishings and local art.



Designed for families and groups, the home flows easily from the open kitchen and dining area to comfortable living spaces and out to a fully fenced yard built for relaxing. Mountain views fill nearly every window, while the private hot tub, dedicated game room, and inviting outdoor spaces make it easy to gather, unwind, and settle into the rhythm of Northern New Mexico.



One of the home’s favorite spots is the breezeway patio, where guests can enjoy comfortable lounge seating, outdoor speakers, a natural gas grill, and beautiful mountain and sunset views. Whether you’re grilling dinner after a day in Taos, listening to music with a glass of wine, or watching the sky change colors over the valley, Hora Feliz offers a relaxed and memorable high-desert retreat.

Bedroom 3 is the game room offering a queen sofa bed for two additional guests.

Each bedroom enjoys viga ceilings, Southwestern textiles, and mountain or valley views.

Bathrooms

Hora Feliz offers 2 full bathrooms, including a primary ensuite. Thoughtful Southwestern touches like a hammered-copper vessel sink add character, and standard bath amenities are provided, including shampoo, conditioner, soap, and fresh towels.



Living Areas

The living area is warm and inviting, anchored by a wood-burning kiva fireplace, viga ceilings, and large windows that frame the mountains. Comfortable seating and a large TV make it a natural place to relax after a day of adventure, while the open layout keeps everyone connected to the kitchen and dining space. There's an additional seating area with another queen sofa bed for any extra guests.



Kitchen & Dining

The full kitchen is open and well-equipped, with hickory cabinetry, granite counters, a gas range, and an island with bar seating. The adjacent dining area seats the group around a handcrafted table, and there's room for everyone to cook, share meals, and linger together.



Game Room

The dedicated game room is a favorite for families and groups, with a ping-pong table, board games, and comfortable seating for downtime. It also houses the private washer and dryer, and can double as a cozy retreat for kids or extra guests with its queen sofa bed. When you're out exploring, it makes a convenient space for a well-behaved dog.



Outdoor Space

Step outside to a fully fenced yard made for high-desert living. A covered breezeway and patio offer shaded seating and a gas grill for cookouts, while a charming gazebo invites slow afternoons. Take in the mountain and valley views, meander the path through the flowers of the front yard, watch for sunsets, and enjoy the privacy of the coyote-fenced grounds. There's even space for your RV next to the garage with full-electric hook up.



Hot Tub

Guest Access:

• Guests have full, private access to the entire single-level home and the fully fenced yard, including the private hot tub.

• Enjoy easy self check-in with the smart lock; a backup lockbox is also available, and entry details are provided before arrival.

• Park up to 3 vehicles in the open driveway. Additional RV parking with an electrical hookup is available.

• In winter, AWD or 4WD is recommended for travel to the Taos Ski Valley and on snowy high-desert roads.



The Neighborhood:

Hora Feliz is located in El Prado, a quiet community just north of Taos with open high-desert views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. You're minutes from historic Taos Plaza and well positioned for day trips to the Taos Ski Valley, Taos Pueblo, and the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.



Getting Around:

A vehicle is recommended to reach the home and explore the Taos area. In winter, AWD or 4WD is advised for mountain roads to the ski valley.



Other Things to Note:

• Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.

• Dogs are welcome (up to 2, around 60 lbs each) with prior approval and any applicable pet fee. The yard is fully fenced; please supervise pets and pick up after them.

• Guests must be at least 21 years old to book, and only registered guests are permitted.

• This is a single-level home with no stairs.

• The home does not have air-conditioning; the high-desert climate stays comfortable, and the home heats with radiant/hydronic heat. Fans are available.

• The wood-burning fireplace may be used with the wood provided.

• Streaming TVs (Netflix) are available; please sign in with your own accounts.

• Quiet hours apply; please be respectful of neighbors. No smoking, parties, or events.

• Short-term rental permit on file (Taos County).

• Every reservation includes accidental damage protection for added peace of mind.
