"Die Einrichtung ist zusammengeschustert, bei Einzelbuchung darf man das Doppelbett ( sind zwei getrennte Betten) nicht nutzen, es steht ein ganz einfaches Bett im Vorzimmer. Fenster waren bei Ankunft gekippt, dadurch war es sehr kalt im Zimmer. Fernseher mit Receiver etwas altmodisch. Einrichtung teilweise kaputt, z.b. "Very fine hotel, a place we like to come back to. Rooms are spacious, the only thing we missed was a water kettle and some large mucks to make an cup of tea (as we're are tea drinkers but coffee goes the same). The hotel knows where our rooms 341-342-343 are looking out over, a courtesy question of we had any problem with that would have given the option for us not having "this view" and others we do not mind could have been in these rooms."

Meals are simple and satisfying in a relaxed bistro style. The buffet breakfast is fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh options. A wonderful touch is the 24 hour trust station with snacks, drinks, and complimentary water, which makes the stay feel effortless. Step outside to gentle walking paths and open sky that invite you to slow down and reconnect with nature. A simple, beautiful escape. Deutsch Das Berghotel Kristall wirkt vom ersten Moment an beruhigend, eingebettet in eine ruhige Landschaft mit weitem Blick. Die Einrichtung ist warm und durchdacht, mit sanftem Licht, gemütlichen Sitzbereichen und einladenden Rückzugsorten. Große Fenster lassen viel Tageslicht herein und verstärken die entspannte Atmosphäre. Die Mahlzeiten sind einfach und gut, im Bistro-Stil serviert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist hervorragend und bietet eine große Auswahl an frischen Speisen. Besonders angenehm ist die 24-Stunden-Vertrauensstation mit Snacks, Getränken und kostenlosem Wasser. Draußen laden ruhige Wege und die Natur dazu ein, langsamer zu werden. Eine einfache, schöne Auszeit."

"I didn't have a pet with me but I saw other customers that did. They do welcome pets. The breakfast was good! 2 types of bread, ham, Swiss cheese, orange juice, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, assorted condiments, and excellent espresso, coffee, or cappuccino. The only constructive criticism I offer is I wish there was an in room Keurig or kettle for evening herbal tea. Also a vending machine in the lobby would be nice for late night snacks. We stayed in a tiny house and it was quiet and private. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Trier area. "

"We stayed here Aug 2025 to visit our cousins who live in the area. We booked through Expedia so we did not expect the best room (it seems like typically we get better rooms when booking through the hotel directly but a better rate booking through Expedia). Our room was on the first floor but was slightly above ground level. There is no AC and there were no fans. But there was a cute balcony with two seats. The room was clean. We checked-in quickly and were not offered any maps or instructions about the hotel (there is a pool but we were not told where it was although we also didn't have time to use it anyway). The location was perfect for us. We were able to walk around the lake (the Bostalsee) and drive to our cousins' houses. They do offer a few amenities although we were not told about these amenities when we checked -in (we were only told that the breakfast was $29 Euros PP if we wanted to add it.). Parking was free and easy, checkout was quick and easy and a little friendlier than check-in. We felt like this is mostly a local German vacation hotel and not as welcoming to non-German travelers. "
