This is based solely on my own experience but wanted to write it to caution others. This was probably the worst stay I ever had at a hotel. We booked this hotel as my partner and I met in 2022 here and had a great experience. I am not sure when it got switched to Radisson - that’s when it went downhill. I booked a suite for me and my family and the minute we walked into the room - we were disgusted and disappointed. The room didn’t smell clean, the floor was dirty and there was white stains all over the ottoman. There was no coffee table in front of the couch and they could only afford one nightstand?? I never seen that before. And the chair for the desk was all broken up where you sit. My bf did not want to stay there so he went downstairs to complain and they moved is to another room. It did smell like it was cleaned but there were stains on the walls and the door frames. A desk that had no chair and still no coffee table. I was told they don’t do coffee tables and yep - only one night stand. My family and I went out and got slippers from dollarama because we didn’t want to be walking in our bare feet. The hallways and stairwell also smell funky and I just didn’t feel comfortable and glad to have only stayed one night. I will never book here again and frankly, I wish they would’ve compensated us for the dirty room and stains. It doesn’t take much to make these types of touch ups to make your hotel rating go up.

Per friendly but when booking through 3rd party you cant tell them you have a dog. Plus they say dont worry just tell the front desk when you check in. Which doesnt let the hotel know in advance to accommodate us. Took 1 hr to get a room figure out. Plus when walking my dog around hotel, there was dog poop everywhere. I know its the owners responsibility but the gotel should manage it better. There was no cleaning staff available so many people were annoyed that their rooms were not cleaned and dirty towels were not changed. My son was one of those people who stayed in the gotel for 3 nights and no room service at all the entire stay. Management needs to do better at his hotel. Would not recommend.

Hotel is dated but it was obvious that some parts of our room had been renovated somewhat recently. We had an issue with the bed not being correctly situated on the bed frame so the sharp metal arms of the frame were sticking out from one side of the bed. This caused an injury to my husband's shin. We easily fixed it ourselves, but it should never have been left like that. I mentioned it to the front desk and they were apologetic but did not make any effort to make it up to us in any way. Otherwise, our room was adequate and clean enough but we would not stay here again. Also, the parking lot is small and very busy.

Man… for a Radisson, this hotel really said “let’s set expectations low and then go even lower.” The bed? Felt like I was sleeping on a trampoline with trust issues. Every time I moved, it moved back… aggressively. The pillows? I’ve seen thicker slices of deli meat. Pretty sure they just folded a napkin and called it a day. No complimentary water either. Like come on… it’s literally $7 for a 35-pack at Costco. That’s enough to hydrate half the hotel. You’re charging $100 a night but acting like water is a luxury add-on. Then I made the mistake of reading reviews… apparently bedbugs are part of the “extended stay experience.” After that, sleep was not even an option. I was lying there like I was in a horror movie waiting for something to crawl. And the toilet paper? Single ply. SINGLE. PLY. I’m pretty sure even prisons are like “nah, that’s too harsh.” Honestly, this hotel made me appreciate every other hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Wish I stayed literally anywhere else, even my car would’ve offered better lumbar support.

The hotel photos do not match reality. The room is in need of renovation. The chair in the room should be replaced with a new one, as it is worn out and peeling. There are not enough towels for the pool. My son was offered and given a foot towel instead of a proper towel after the pool. The internet works very poorly. Unfortunately, this is not what we expected

I should’ve never cheated on the Sandman Hotel Edmonton… because the Radisson Hotel Edmonton South is hands down the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. No hot water. Bed bugs. Complete chaos… kids running the halls, elevators useless because every button is pushed. No WiFi or service on the 6th floor… and somehow that’s my problem. Locked out FIVE times. Not even joking. Up. Down. Up. Down. “It works now.” It didn’t. Pool advertised as heated… freezing and basically unusable. No smart TV… so enjoy staring at the guide because you can’t even use your phone. Room phone doesn’t work. Ordered food… couldn’t even get a fork or knife. Restaurant closed early… so we just don’t eat I guess. Then the night manager decides to scream at me, tell me I’m wrong about the bed bugs, and tries to push his way into my room with a flashlight. Absolutely not. I’m alone. You’re not coming in. Then management calls me asking why I didn’t come meet them… I didn’t make a meeting. I’m working. My clients are paying for me to be here. You asked why I’m still here? Because I made commitments… and the city is fully booked. I slept on the windowsill last night. And I’m laying on it again right now. After working all day trying to keep it together… I get hit on my way home, she screams at me and drives off. This weekend in Edmonton really tested me. But I’m still here. Still standing. Just exhausted… freezing… and never staying here again.

The rooms/beds were comfortable. Reasonable cleanliness for price point. Elevators smelled like smoke and there was a cigarette butt in the closet. Pool was shutdown both days we were there due to a health and safety order, which was unfortunate cause my kids wanted to swim.

The room was gross , there was old advil gel pills all along under the bed and there was old Pop Corn all over the floor , probably will never stay there again

The bed was comfortable and we slept well. There seems to be a lack of attention to detail in the housekeeping process, and some repairs look like they were done by people who aren’t skilled at doing them. Room smelled quite musty. Price was decent.

Walking into our room, we were impressed with the size. Went to the window to see the view and were shocked with the damage to it. Peeling paint, warped wood and black mould. Inspection of the bed revealed multiple hairs, mystery stains and general dirt. I would not stay here again.

There was a Wooden plank in window sill looks like used to hold up part of the window sail. The heat would not work to go off was sooo hot in room
