Good enough for a place to sleep.

This hotel is hard to find and not in a desirable area. It's about 30 minutes from Edinburgh, and leaves much to be desired. The breakfast that's included is cereal, but the rooms are in good condition and it's a good place to sleep. I wouldn't recommend this place however.

Non-Smoking Rooms

Even though these rooms were non-smoking, they were not what we expected. These rooms were note stuffy because the windows opened and the rooms were aired out. Our room was on the third floor and the window was open when we got there. We kept it open for the entire stay and we didn't even notice the smoke like we would have in a hotel that had air conditioning and no windows. This was a very comfortable room and a great value for the cost, compared to room in Edinburgh one third the price. Not a great place to lounge, but perfect for us to spleep in after we spent a long day in Edinburgh.

Trop bruyant

Notre chambre donnait sur une impasse conduisant à l'arrière de l'hôtel au parking ainsi qu'à une discothèque au rez de chaussée de l'hôtel. Celui-ci avait en plus un "Lounge Bar" donnant sur la rue mais le long de cette impasse. Sous notre fenêtre, donc, beaucoup de bruit, d'éclats de voix et de rires jusqu'à une heure avancée de la nuit.

Good out of town option

This hotel was not as we'd imagined, but we grew to like it in the end. We'd requested a non-smoking room with a double bed, and ended up with two twin beds and an ashtray, but it was all made up for by the included full Scottish breakfast and friendly staff. The train station was a two minute walk, which was incredibly convenient for us. It was a good value. We'd stay there again.
