You'll find a list of top recommendations for dining, drinks, and more in the house manual.
Getting Around:
Honestly you can walk almost everywhere in central Edinburgh—it’s all pretty close! Broughton Street and Canonmills are about 5 minutes away, Waverley Station (use the back entrance) is 10 minutes, and the city center is a 15-minute walk. You can also reach The Shore in Leith and Stockbridge in around 15 minutes.
For cycling, Edinburgh has plenty of hidden off-road paths that are perfect for exploring the city and beyond (Portobello, Forth Road Bridge, Queensferry, Hopetoun House). The Inner Tube website maps these routes, many of which follow old train lines, so they’re mostly flat. Conveniently, one of these paths is only a 2-minute walk from the front door!
For taxis, I recommend Central Cabs, but Uber works well too.
Buses are easily accessible on Leith Walk and Broughton Street; the MyBusTrip app is handy for schedules, and Lothian Buses has its own app.
The tram is also close by at the end of Broughton Street, but buses are often faster and more affordable.
For the airport, if you’re traveling in a group, a taxi may be the best value. Solo travelers can take the airport bus to the city center, then walk or catch a taxi from there. The tram is also an option to Broughton Street.
Other Things to Note:
We provide fresh bed linens, towels, plush pillows, toiletries, and other essentials to ensure a comfortable stay. Plus, our support team is available 24/7 if you need anything additional.
Please note: a mandatory 5% Edinburgh Visitor Levy applies to all stays from 24 July 2026 onwards, in line with local government regulations. This will be included in your total booking price and collected automatically.

The flat itself is lovely, though the oven was broken and pulled away from the wall, which made it a tight spot for two people to be in the kitchen together. I know this is circumstantial, so can’t fault it for that.
The smaller bedroom was tiny, and the bed fairly uncomfortable. Other than that, we couldn’t have been happier with the place and was perfect for my daughter and I! I don’t think more than 3 would sleep comfortably, but I am American, and used to large beds, but this was noticed throughout Ireland as well, so I think I can chalk that up to cultural differences. We truly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely rent it again!
