"This cabin feels like you stepped back into a 1950s lake vacation. The house/cabin seems to have been built in the late 30s to early 40s. The property is amazing and could only have all of the stone work and docks with generations of landscaping. It was truely an amazing yard with a super cool fire pit, sand volleyball court and even a bit of a gradual drop into the lake that would feel safe with littlier children. We had one of the best family days outside playing croquet, badminton and kayaking. It was idyllic. One important note the second bathroom is in the laundry area off the screened porch and is very small, part of the house being built so long ago. Also, the rooms are small so don't plan to put kids on the floor in the rooms. Again this is a historic house so it comes with historical home charms. This wasn't a big issue for us though because there were only 5 of us. Like all the reviews said just because it is a historic home didn't mean it wasn't clean. The house was exceptionally clean. We would definitely recommend this house."

"The staff was very friendly, view amazing, and the amenities great! The room’s modern decor, cable service (many channels), and option of room service, was definitely a plus! There was a slight odor coming from the vent in the closet. There are not enough staff to clean the rooms daily. However, the staff was more than helpful in supplying what we needed. Overall we enjoyed the stay! We will stay again."

"The only negative was that people were situated on the front lobby sofa with their shoes off, feet on the sofa, blankets around themselves and food bags on the floor in front of their shoes. I made a comment to the staff that homeless were camped out in the lobby and it was not a good look. She said they were guests. This kind of clientele made the hotel look like a cheap Motel 6 and I feel like she should have asked them at least to get their bare feet off the sofa."
