Studio Apartment at The Shire - Cape Cod

Located in Falmouth, MA, The Shire is a charming 1960s Cape house surrounded by trees and mature plantings. It has a unique character, with interesting nooks & crannies. Outside, there is always something in bloom. Located on a quiet street, it’s a 5-minute drive to the beach or a 20-minute bike ride.

Wake up in the morning to the sound of birds, relax with a cuppa on your newly updated back deck, check in with work with high speed internet. For remote work stays, a home office setup can be provided.

The Space

The studio, affectionately named The Cupboard Atop the Stairs (any Harry Potter fans?), is its own private space. It contains a B&B Italia queen bed with luxury bedding, kitchenette, fold out lighted desk, large updated bath, and hi-speed WiFi.

The studio is perfect for singles or couples, and is pet friendly. Can also accommodate a child. Portable crib available upon request.

Guest Access

Guests can access the entire outside space which includes your own deck (215 sqft) a large fenced yard, outdoor shower, brick patio with seating and fire pit. The deck is exclusively yours; the yard is a shared space. On occasion, you might spot someone out there gardening. Guests may also access the washer/dryer in the garage, and may store bikes, kayaks or other recreation equipment on the property.

We respect your privacy and will interact with you as you desire. We live here year round and are happy to share recommendations on local places of interest.

To customize your stay, please let us know your preference on our 100% cotton luxury bedding (sateen, linen or percale), and your favorite flavor of Girl Scout cookies (seasonal).

This is a family home with an art studio, so you may see some personal items about, or a curious cat through a window. Everything inside your accommodations and in the outside space is available for your use. And if you need anything additional, just ask! There’s enough parking for several cars.
PETS
We are pet friendly and can welcome one dog. Reach out with details about your pet or any questions before booking. A small dog (up to 40lbs) would be most comfortable in the space.
