We loved our stay at the cottage - house was super clean and very comfortable. All amenities that you would want (and more) were available. Easy process on arrival and departure. Great location for wedding in East Aurora and easy drive up to Buffalo. Host Jeni was very helpful and responsive both before and during our stay. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever back in the area

Highly recommend!

The Cottage provided perfect accommodations for our family (myself and spouse, 3 daughters and boyfriends) while attending a wedding at Nottinghill Farm (10 minutes away). The four bedrooms were wonderful, allowing hubby and I to stay on first floor, while the adult kids stayed upstairs. The abundance of bathrooms was a real plus, especially the huge bathroom upstairs that allowed all 3 girls to get ready together. The kitchen was well-equipped and we loved the coffee bar. We enjoyed sitting together on the porch, eating in the dining room and relaxing in the spacious living room. We highly recommend this quaint cottage!

Long Weekend Stay

The Cottage is a perfect blend of old country house and modern convenience. Jeni was a perfect host and responded immediately when we discovered that the TV remote for one of the bedrooms was damaged by replacing it immediately.The property is minutes from downtown East Aurora and a quick hop from route 400 and everything that WNY has to offer!Thanks Jeni!!

Family Gathering

This was a wonderful stay for us! The house was lovely and for our family of 6 perfectly with room to spare! We especially liked the cute shabby chic touches, including a bathroom closet filled with toiletries. So sweet to think of these extra amenities! We would definitely stay here again!

A Great Stay in East Aurora

My family and I have been staying at The Cottage on Big Tree Road for Christmas since 2019. The property is very comfortable, roomy, nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. Everything is well maintained, and every year we notice a few improvements. The owners, Jeni and Jason, are very pleasant, helpful and easy to work with. I highly recommend this cottage.

Fabulous home

We had a great stay for a girls weekend birthday getaway. The home is beautiful as well as the whole property. She’s a great hostess!! The wedding barn is also beautiful and highly recommended. I definitely recommend this as a great place to stay. With many fun shops and good restaurants nearby

Amazing stay!

Family and I stayed to go see Luke Combs in concert and had a great time! We all loved the house, was very clean, very comfortable, lots of space for us to stay and communication with the homeowners was easy with quick response and really nice! There was everything that we needed and minutes to really cute shops and restaurants in town. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

A Total Eclipse Weekend

The Cottage was the perfect place for my family to await the total eclipse of 2024. Opening the door, we were welcomed by charming surroundings inviting us to enjoy a carefree stay. To give you an idea of her meticulous attention to details, Jeni even had eclipse glasses set out there for us. Everything we needed and more was there, including some great coffees. The clouds moved in to cover our eclipse view but we still enjoyed every minute in this very comfortable home away from home.

Great Family Holiday

2023 was the fourth Christmas my family and I have stayed here. As always, we had a great time celebrating the holidays with our extended family in Western NY. We continue to stay at this property because it is very nice, spacious and conveniently located. It is well equipped and exceptionally clean. The hostess, Jeni, and her staff are very nice and easy to work with. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice vacation in WNY.

Perfect spot. Great location.

We really enjoyed how close this house was to downtown East Aurora and how quickly we could access 400 to get downtown or to the airport. The house was great! Perfect for our party of 8. Of note, the stairs going up to second level are very steep. Not an issue for us but older guests or younger kids could struggle with those. Otherwise the house was very welcoming. Living room was very spacious and beds very comfy. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you!!

Go Bills!

We chose this property because of its location to seeing family and going to a Bills game. Great location and easy access. We did hear some of the street noise as others have mentioned but on the weekend it wasn’t too bad. Monday morning truck traffic was the heaviest; but we were up early to get on the road ourselves. Connecting to the Internet was our only hiccup - no one could access with the password info provided. We had everything else we needed for a great stay for our 8 person group!

Perfect for our Group

Great property, close to our event and local downtown. Set up well for our family. We really liked the upstairs bathroom set up for all of us. All supplies readily available. Struggled with the sound of the busy road. Took the country away for us. All of us (8) but our hearing impaired teen had to wear ear plugs. We now hail from the city and it was loud to sleep in the home. Feel this should be represented in the listing especially when owners are aware since they leave earplugs upstairs for guests! Also, we spent the first 24 hours without internet or TV until we finally realized the internet had been reset and the password given and left was no longer the set password. Once members of our group realized we needed the original password from the modem we were good to go. No thanks to the property manager who never replied to our inquiry on it. Coffee makers need descaling from use. Extremely slow, don’t brew proper amount and leak. Overall, a great property for a family even with our small hindrances.

Family Wedding Stay

Excellent home rental!! This is by far the BEST VRBO we have stayed in, and we stay in multiple a year. The pictures describe the home perfectly. Our family were all impressed. You literally need to unpack your suitcases and pick up some groceries and you are all set! Anything you need is on location and the setting is beautiful! The Hayloft “Cottage” Home

Our family of 6 stayed here quite comfortably at the end of May 2023 as part of our summer family vacation. From this “cottage”, we visited friends in Springville, NY, explored Niagara Falls, toured the Buffalo Naval & Military Park, and hiked the Devil’s Hole plus Whirlpool Rapids trails near Niagara Falls. This “cottage” is restored so part of the home has beautiful original-looking wooden floors, the doorway mouldings are wide planks, & the staircase is steep “old-school”…so there is a vague feeling of a historic cottage… And this is truly a welcoming home, as it is decorated very creatively in a cute antique-way. We enjoyed the comfortable porch & the spacious living room. The VRBO pictures do indeed tell the story of this gem of a home! It is on a main roadway and the sound of cars & trucks passing is noticeable but the owners provide earplugs, should you need! The kitchen’s fully stocked for cooking. No kitchen garbage disposal & no outdoor grill…but these we did not need. All the beds are comfortable and there are plenty of linens & towels for everyone! The upstairs bathroom is huge with separate little rooms for the toilet & the stand-up shower. Several in our family went running for exercise along the different local roads & the scenery is incredible! East Aurora is a cute town…go have the yummy handmade ice cream at Rosie’s and the wings at Bar-Bill’s! And thank you to the owners for crafting this precious gem of a home…we enjoyed our stay! :)
