An Ideal Getaway

This property was well-kept, the house was ideal for our family, and the location couldn't be beat. Holly's communication was top-notch, and our stay was excellent overall.

I was unsure that you could get to the other lakes on the chain. The little river (in some areas) is a little shallow but I was able to take my 17 1/2 foot fishing boat to all the lakes. We had a good time. Thank you

Great place to stay. Plenty of room in driveway for 2 trucks and boats/trailers. Super clean, great pier. We had a great time.

Perfect combo of seclusion and lake life!

We loved the lodge! The kids had a blast fishing and watching wildlife during the day and playing ping pong and board games at night. The layout is perfect, and the outdoor area has a perfect view. Holly was amazing to communicate with when we had questions (she is very knowledgeable about the area). Could not have asked for a smoother experience:) We will be back! A!

Loved it!

The VRBO is on a more peaceful 5-lake chain in Sugar Camp. It was beautiful. The house is a great size for a group. We could’ve fit more than the 7 adults we had. It was a great base to go into Eagle River on some days, and to go out on a pontoon we rented from Dan Towne, who we highly recommend! He even dropped the pontoon off for us at the house’s dock! We also loved going to Pitlik’s right on the chain. Great atmosphere and bloodys! Great place to stay!

Clean and plenty of sleeping room. Enjoyed fire pit, backyard had plenty of room and no stairs to dock. Beautiful view of the lake. Enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay. The water was warm for swimming. There's plants growing off the sides of the dock but off the end is a sandy bottom for swimming. We caught some pan fish off the dock. There was plenty of room for everyone in the cabin. The basement rec room was great for the kids. There was firewood for us to use for campfires. We appreciated the AC since it was a hot week! The host was wonderful.

9 of uf guys annual fishing trip. Guys said house well stocked and it was. Plenty of firewood for outside. Plenty of beds. Large table to eat at. Only bring a streaming device or dvd player. Gentle slope to Chain lake. Had room for 3 boats to dock.

Very quiet and peaceful

Everything was above grade very home like atmosphere well equipped furniture was very comfortable the deck overlooking the lake was great lots of birds and very very peaceful! oh and the fishing so so The water was cold yet but for this time of the year and you have to expect that overall we had a very good time!

Great place!

Everything was as listed! Loved the proximity to the lake. The pier was awesome. The fire pit worked well, and they provided plenty of wood. We even had a great time hanging out in the basement when it was raining. I would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay. Check-in was super simple. The space was perfect for our family. The access to the lake was perfect for my mom who has trouble walking. The water surrounding the dock was perfect for my 11 year olds to play without worrying too much. It is shallow, but not too shallow to be fun. The ping pong table was a great source of fun and competition. The only drawback we really noticed was the refrigerator was a bit small for our family of 8. The work around would be to just buy a couple days worth of supplies at a time. Otherwise, even when we thought we may have an issue, the manager came out very quickly to be sure everything was resolved and ok. So very happy with this property!

Great house!

We have a group of 8 stay at this cabin for Hodag, it worked out super well. There was plenty of room for all of us. The only negative that we found during our stay is that the main floor bathroom could have been a little cleaner, there was hair left on the shower walls. Other than that we had a great time.

Quiet

Quiet, relaxing, comfortable and convenient stay. Well equipped kitchen with all one would need making meals so easy. Games for kids and room for them to run and fish. Convenient to Eagle River, St. Germain, Minocqua without excess driving. We all enjoyed our stay very much! Holly, the property manager, was excellent. Up north

We all thought the place is great. We had 6 guys for a week and had some good fishing, even from the pier. We were able to park 3 boats in the driveway. Easy check-in/ check- out. They had pretty much everything except the food. They should get 10 stars. Thanks for a memorable week!

Winter weekend

Overall a great place to stay! Clean and well supplied with everything you may need! We brought up sleds for the weekend, great trails in the area. Beautiful area to snowmobile. Driveway had plenty of space for our trailers and vehicles. Loved the fireplace since it was a cold weekend outside. Plenty of sleeping areas. Holly was very friendly and available for any of our needs, she communicated with us frequently checking if there was anything we needed. Easy check in and out process.

Nice rustic log cabin on lake.

Our family group really enjoyed this spacious cabin w beautiful stone fireplace and amazingly equipped kitchen! We enjoyed the big kitchen table w 6 chairs & we supplemented for our extra person. The big deck faced the lake with 2 tables w 4 chairs each and there was a nice pier. There was an impressive supply of wood for the fireplace and a small metal fire burner w swing nearby. Communication before & after our stay was exceptiinal! We recommend this cabin!

Wonderful time at Chain Lake property and surrounding area!

We had a wonderful time at the Chain Lake property. Everything was clean and inviting - the linens, kitchenware, decor, gaming area, fire pit, and lake access were tremendous! Holly, the property manager, not only kept a great line of communication open with the general rental details and the check-in and check-out process, she went above and beyond when we asked about nearby hiking trails and shops, and came through like a champ when our initial pontoon searches fell through. Special shout out to Dan Towne and his pontoon company for renting us an awesome pontoon for fishing, swimming, and boating on the 5 connected lakes: Dam, Sand, Stone, Echo, and Chain. A truly memorable experience- 5 stars!

Well deserved family time.

We had a great time with family and wished our time could have been extended. Fishing was great. Most done on the pier due to rough waters and storm chances. The Wildwood Wild Life Park never dissapoints and even enjoyed some mini gulf, shopping, and go karts in Minocqua. The beds were ok (nothing beats your own bed) but there were alot of hard pillows. (again, nothing beats your own). Enjoyed a bon fire as well. Thank for the R&R
