"A perfect choice for a true Northwoods holiday. The location is private but within easy reach of all amenities, including the best boat-up bar & grill in the area. View is superb. The house itself is a classic log a-frame with loft which worked for our small family but would also be great for a large group, with plenty of beds and well separated areas , including a lower level walk-out fully equipped for games and activities.Speaking of activities: you will want to be on the water and this place is fully equipped with kayaks, canoes, paddleboats and everything you'll need. If you can, rent the pontoon boat, which is perfect for days exploring the lake. We did all our cooking at home (except of course for Friday Fish Fry!) and the kitchen had everything we needed. The house was immaculately clean and fully supplied with everything you'd expect and many surprising small comforts. Our hosts Jesse and Cynthia were welcoming and super responsive. If you have questions or issues you can count on quick answers and seamless resolutions.We loved it. We'll be back."

"We stayed here for Fall Ride weekend and it was close enough to town, yet quiet for winding down after a busy day of riding and partaking in the festivities. The cabin slept 3 adults comfortably. It had everything we needed to enjoy making our own breakfast and dinner. The cabin was clean. Beds were comfy. It was also nice to know the cabin offered a driver to pick us up if we needed it! We weren’t looking for the party scene, so this was a great place to get away, yet still be able to be close to downtown for the music, vendors, and all things motorcycle! We were able to easily park the bikes and SUV in the driveway as well! Overall, a great stay!"

"This property was great for the group that we had. The kids have their own bedroom and living room downstairs. Upstairs has a living room and three “adult” bedrooms, so there is room for everyone to have their own space. Location is wonderful, quiet, and peaceful with a small bubbling brook on one side of the property that you can hang your hammock next to, and the lake is just down a slight hill, with your own dock and swimming raft. A canoe, paddleboat, and two stand up paddleboards were available for use. Neighbors were friendly and even offered to let us use their kayaks if we wanted to. Lake got a little loud at times with jet skis, tubing, and skiing, but overall was peaceful. Lots of people fishing on the lake that would sometimes cut between the raft and dock, but never when we were actually swimming or at the water. Kitchen accommodations were great, with everything we needed provided (bring your own seasonings, but that’s standard for cleanliness and food safety). Dishwasher was making some funky grinding noises, but still seemed to clean ok. Hammock in the lower level covered porch was broken, but we had our own to hang in the trees, so didn’t need it. Downstairs bedroom flooring has seen some warpage with the humidity, but the kids (ok, adults too) thought it was a fun feature to hear it make the sucking noise when standing on it. Outdoor fire pit was nice, though the sides are fairly tall, so getting the fire set could be a little tricky."

"The high number of stars for this hotel must be due to the location. And what a location it is! A beautiful deck overlooking Lake Nokomis, a fire pit, and beach along the shore. Absolutely beautiful. However, the rooms themselves were fairly old and tired, although perfectly adequate. The bedspreads were frayed, the mattresses - though comfortable - sagged, and the toilets were so close to the floor that my 80-something mother had a hard time using it. There were also a lot of cracked tiles in the bathroom. But all in all it was a great place to stay and to be right on the lake was idyllic."
