This is our third time staying at this wonderful cabin. We look forward to our stay each year.
We enjoyed the experience of being in the woods, but just off of a major highway. It's a beautiful location and just as stated in the property description.

Reviewer Comments:
The remote, quiet location yet proximity to both Purgatory and Durango were what we were looking for. But the kitchen stove and cookware were not ideal for making family dinners. And last there was evidence of mice in the kitchen cabinets. We asked the property management company for options and were provided none. Even after requesting additional cleaning, the mice returned and left additional evidence they were still present. One word, hantavirus.

Reviewer Comments:
Really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Especially enjoyed the flock of wild turkeys and the deer that came by. So good to see so many stars as we live in a big city. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed for a pleasant time. A good place to spend our 48th anniversary! Enjoyed hiking nearby and some time in Durango. Beautiful fall color as we headed home over Red Mountain Pass. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Reviewer Comments:
Stayed here for a little weekend away in the mountains. It’s about 20 minutes north of the downtown area of Durango. Its a nice and quiet wooded area which is just what we wanted. It’s very easy to get to. We went hiking in Silverton which was about a 40 minute drive to the town. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. It’s an older place that has been redone. The only complaint which we didn’t really even mind was that the bathroom sink didn’t drain properly. Kitchen sink worked great :)

Reviewer Comments:
My sister and I wanted to have just a no frills cabin get away for a week. This place turned out to be perfect. We had to call the hosts when wifi went out, and they were very responsive. Loved how it was small but still had some nice things like stone in the bathroom. Lord willing, will gladly come back. It wasn’t a problem, but only thing I would say is they need to revise the listing description a bit. When it noted it was on “3.5 acres”, it made us think it was secluded and one could have an area to walk around. There’s actually a cabin next to it and a large house on the property. Again, still loved the set up, but it’s not really secluded. The area it’s in is really nice. The cabin has a lean in the foundation, but it in an odd way added to the charm.
We loved this cozy cabin in the woods - we arrived after the area received 40” of snow - but the cabin was nice and warm. About 1/4 from the main road and plowed to the property then snow in the drive way. Minutes from the ski area and hot springs. Lots of land for our dog to explore (property not fenced). Other cabin is quite close - but got to know the guests - and the their dog and ours got to play. Will definately be back!!
