Historic Strater Hotel

Historic Strater Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Great old hotel right downtown, and near the Durango Silverton train station. We stayed here because we like historic buildings and this one did not disappoint. It has modern conveniences, yet still allows you to step back in time."

"This boutique hotel is a great option if you want to be close to Main Street. The rooms are nice and clean; however, the walls are very thin. Box bugs were in the windows and managed to get onto the walls, which may have happened because the windows can open and may not be well sealed."

The General Palmer Hotel

The General Palmer Hotel

8/10 Good
"Lovely antique/ boutique style hotel in the heart of historic downtown Durango. Easy walk to the train which was one of our main reasons for visit. Nice breakfast and coffee setup which we used daily including to-go option. Room was small but updated and clean. Second floor room with a small elevator but Oksana was very helpful bringing our luggage up. Good exercise most of the time we used the stairs. The only drawback to the location was proximity to the nightlife across the street so it got a little loud on the weekends with live bands and noisy conversations just below but we enjoyed our stay"
