"The house and facilities are fantastic, in fact it felt so homely and welcoming we did not want to come home. The owners are lovely people very friendly and helpful The area is great for getting to many close by areas and dog walks. Love the art around the gardens, fenced in garden great for our pooches. Dalhousie Castle

6/10 Okay

"Grounds and castle were beautiful. Unfortunately spa facility’s were not open, nor were 2 of the 3 restaurants. Service was somewhat inconsistent, especially at the bar. We sat for 10 minutes before bartender acknowledged us, only after me asking if we could get a drink. Same experience in the restaurant - one night was great and next night we weren’t even offered wine and drink list. Very odd."

"A fantastic location and great staff, unfortunately the property needs an overhaul, tired and under maintained rooms and bathrooms made it an uncomfortable stay. The property felt like it just fell in from the 1960’s, including the internet, I spent 2 nights there for business, however, I couldn’t hence hold video conference calls as the WiFi was at best non-existent…!"

"This property is a lovely restored manor house in a bucolic setting on the edge of Edinburgh. All were as expected and the level of service was very good. The food was very good, and service attentive and accurate. The front desk was accessible, accommodating and very helpful. The Bar was great fun. "

"A perfect spot with amazing views! Great staff and food. Great location to walk to town in 6 minutes. Beautiful walks along the cliffs and down to the sea. Watched sunset from my bed! Only comment was the wall in my room was very scratched and needed repainting. Just a few hooks and hangers for clothes. Tiny bedside table, rather beat up, with three drawers to put some things. Otherwise lived out of my suitcase. Nevertheless the views and walks more than made up for slight inconveniences."

"The hotel its a bit dated but the staff its great, welcoming and friendly. I couldnt have breakfast but the receptionist packed a bag for me. Super kind. The room was clean, with a big window so it was very pleasant in the morning. Bathroom was clean and overall a good size. The location its also great and easy transport to the city centre. I feel safe. I will come back again."
