Eerie feeling

Very outdated, the vibe from the whole place made me sleep with the light on as there was something very eerie about the place, the communal bathrooms were pretty bad, no soap, no one had cleaned the entire time I was there, razors left behind in shower put me off, and hardly any lighting in there once it goes dark. Curtains had mould on them and pillows were dirty, one window permanently open in my room so there was a breeze but overall a cheap room

No refunds is practically theft. We paid and received nothing. Phone call was ridiculous also, no conversation, no reasons, do they even speak English here? Infuriating experience.

I liked the price but you get what you pay for. The room was cold, damp and draughty. I would not sleep on the top bunks as they were unstable. Heating was inadequate on 30 minute timers and only one shower and toilet per three rooms or up to a dozen people. Alright if you are young and healthy.

Worse place to stay in Dunedin

It was horrible and cold and dirty and smelly and the price was ridiculous for 1 night in a absolute dive $180..absolutely the worse place ever and i didnt feel safe there at all

Don't recommend.

We did not feel safe or comfortable for this stay. The room smelt of cigarette smoke and the whole place was run down. You even had to buy your own loo roll!! It was not provided for free!

Uncomfort and Inconvenience

The eftpos machine was not working for two days and requested to pay cash, couldn't even pay through online banking. Had to go out get cash which was very inconvenient. It didn't provide toliet paper and it costed $1 to get a roll in reception. The check-in time on hotel.com was incorrect and reception closed before we arrived. The reception lady was nice to come back to drop off the key.

The hotel is a little run down, although our room was comfortable and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. As a budget option you get what you pay for, we found the price very reasonable but probably would choose elsewhere next time

Worst place ever

Booked some where else where we felt safe. Spoke to a couple the next day who did stay. They came from UK and said the police what the night before was not comfortable. We booked a double bed room. Got a small single room. They rang me the day before we were due to arrive. And asked if I had spoken to them the day before and cancelled the room. I had not !!! Do not stay there. !!!!

Einmal reicht

Es war so kalt, die Gäste und das Personal sind mit Winterjacke und Mütze rumgelaufen, drinnen. Der Gemeinschaftsraum in dem man essen sollte war so kalt, das man sich wirklich nicht aufhalten möchte. Beim Einchecken hatte man unsere Reservierung nicht, haben dann aber doch schnell ein Zimmer bekommen. Die Terrassentür in unseren Zimmer ließ sich nicht schließen und stand über Nacht somit leicht auf.:-(. Die Küche war interessant. 4 Tassen für das gesamte Hostel. Es war nicht wirklich sauber. Gewöhnungsbedürftig.

No wifi in dormitory, extremely cold

They cheat you about internet. Don't believe! There is no wifi connection in the dormitory! You can fiind some in the corridor of kitchen. The whole building including all communal areas is terribly cold. The heater in the room produces unbelievable jetplane noise, so you cannot use it at night. And anyway the timer is set to 1 hour.

Ok for backpackers if you need CHEAP accomodation.

It was probably the cheapest accomodation in town,, but would have helped if the TV in the community lounge section worked..as there is NO TV in the rooms. Also..they should let you know beforehand that NOTHING is supplied.. We didn't bring any towels..so.. Our showers were a little hard to have.... A few spiderwebs on the ceilings etc.... But.. It WAS our choice to pick CHEAP. Accomodation ..and we got it. Overall..it was an experience ..we slept ok..beds quiete comfortable.. And kitchen available for you to make your own coffees or Tea (as long as you bring your own) and saw others using the kitchen to cook their own meals.
