Lovely large house, good location for families. Close to small beaches & historic sights. We would have like if the house had instructions for using the appliances, and had labeled the keys for the doors & windows (there are many!).

Sehr schöner Garten.Sehr schönes Haus. 2. Küche ergänzt die Hauptküche mit einer weiteren Kühl-/Gefrierkombination und einem Elektroherd mit Backofen, Waschmaschine und Trockner - nur Geräte, kein Besteck etc. Hauptküche hat einen AGA Herd.Toilettenbürsten fehlten.Fenster waren schwergängig und nicht alle zu öffnen.Bahnhof in der Nähe, über Uferweg zu Fuß zu erreichen. Für uns 2 Familien hat alles perfekt gepasst.

very nice big house got lost in it a few times all the family enjoyed themselves there were plenty of rooms to sit in and do your own thing great place for a large family holiday, it was quite central to a lot of places . would definately stay again.

Great house and garden for large family group, comfortable and warm. Good base for both city and country trips, even though not on usual tourist trail.

This house was a fabulous place to stay for a large family gathering - comfortable beds, lots of space, a beautiful garden and loads of local activities; Loch Lomond only about 15 minutes drive away, a short walk down to a ‘beach’ on the Firth of Clyde, lovely views and interesting wildlife. A great pub in Cardross (with good gluten free options)The kitchen in the house could have been a little better equipped for a large house. A few slight issues were sorted with good communication from the host.

A lovely holiday

Very good, we enjoyed our stay very much. When we had a problem of our own making the housekeeper was very helpful and kind. Seven members of our family were very comfortable during our stay and friends were able to come and have a dinner with us one day.

Wedding in Scotland

Great place to stay for a larger group attending a family wedding in Scotland. 30 mins from Glasgow by car, also a decent train service is nearby, and also close proximity to some glorious scenery in Argyll. The house was just as advertised, and communications with James were straightforward and clear. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely house and garden

We stayed here as a family group of 9. The house was a perfect size for us and the garden was amazing for the kids. Location is great with easy access to nearby Helensburgh Dumbarton and Glasgow. Can recommend the local pub the Cardross Inn

Large family home near the Clyde.

We had a long weekend with extended family. Plenty of room for everyone and a large garden as well. Property is handy for the Clyde as well as Loch Lomond and has a rail link into Glasgow.

Family October school holiday

Twelve of us stayed in this lovely large comfortable house. seven adults and five children aged 9 to 16 had a wonderful time making their own entertainment both indoors and in the large garden. Hotel nearby served meals but most evenings did our own catering.

Great family holiday house

Perfect for a family get away - there were 10 of us aged 8 to 80. Lots of space and a lovely big garden Young ones loved being able to walk to the 'beach' and playing hide and seek in the house. Great having 2 fridge/freezers and a washing machine (children!)

Wonderful property in a beautiful little town

The Springvale manor is an absolutely beautiful property that is clearly well loved and cared for. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. It was a quick walk to the train station, the local grocery store, and even the ruins of an old castle! We could not have enjoyed our stay more and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone staying with a large party. I would love to stay here again in tbe future.

Großes Haus für die ganze Familie

Die Unterkunft war sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Viele Zimmer, viele Bäder und ein großer Garten. Unternehmungen in der Nähe waren ebenfalls viele vorhanden. Die Kommunikation mit der Verwalterin/dem Besitzer war top und die Antworten kamen sehr schnell.

Relaxing days at Cardross

We had a lovely stay at the Springvale house, We have been 11 persons and found lots of space for all of us. The house has a historic ambience which we really enjoyed. We can highly recommend the location. Train station is nearby and we went to Glasgow and Edinburgh. We also went to Loch Lomond by car, which took only about 20-30 minutes.

fab place for a get together

Beautiful house with lovely garden, definitely recommend for a large group. James was very accomodating even offering us use of his personal space for a couple of our lads prior to official check in time. The housekeepers were there when we arrived and were super friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved staying here, would definitely use again if in the area. Plenty of equipment for cooking, fridges a plenty so no worries regarding storage of food for large groups, We didn't find we were short of a single item! Highly recommended

Tranquil stay

We had a wonderful time at James’ place. We had 7 adults and 2 young children. It had plenty of space for all of us. Our 2 year old loved the back yard and the bomb shelter. The walk to the train was a beautiful 10-12 minute walk along the water. You do hear the train horn every time a train comes through but we got used to it quickly. We saw many of the neighbors and they were all so hi helpful and friendly. We just can’t say enough about our stay here.

Perfect house for large family group

Springvale was everything we expected. Lovely house inside and out. Very spacious with plenty of room for our family group. We were three families, ranging in age from 71 down to a 1 year old. We were very lucky with the weather and made good use of the gardens. The teenagers enjoyed playing badminton in the large front garden and we managed to have a BBQ on one of the evenings. The large kitchen was great for cooking and we all managed to eat around the big table. Plenty of things to do in the local area and not far from Lock Lomond. Would definitely recommend Springvale to anyone looking for a big house to enjoy with family or friends.

Beautiful Wedding Retreat

We arrived on Monday from our four day stay in Glasgow. We started with 5 people and increased to 9 by Wednesday afternoon. The space is beautifully laid out with ample bedrooms and bathrooms. The greenhouse in the back was the preferred space. It was tranquil and beautiful with many flowering trees and shrubs. The train was a quick walk down a seaside walkway. The Aga in the kitchen was a real treat to work with and proved to be perfect for our self catered party. Our host shared some local sites to explore and we had a beautiful hike in Loch Lomond. Highly recommend this site for small groups. The Cardross Inn has a lovely breakfast just down the road.

Very spacious home full of history and charm.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Cardross. It is a lovely little town that is still very convenient to everything. We typically stay in Glasgow when we come to visit family but instead chose to stay a little more rural. I am glad that we did! The home is very spacious with all amenities and is very clean. We were able to have the family come and visit us and had more room to comfortably sit and spend time together. The owner has taken great care to create a beautiful and comfortable space to enjoy. The back garden is quite the treat to explore and identify all the various trees and flowers. Careful of the water pressure in the sink located in the kitchen! More than one of us received an unintended shower from turning the handle a little too quickly. That being my only exceptionally minor complaint (and not really a complaint at all), this house was wonderful!
