Drake House: The Loft (Private Hot Tub)

No expenses were spared on this beautifully decorated suite! Located in the famous Millwork district, the Loft, a transitional modern style unit, is ideal for one couple but can sleep up to 4. It’s the perfect romantic getaway or business destination. The unit's entry point is on the second floor but has two levels within the unit itself. The main floor has a fully stocked kitchen, the deck with a private hot tub, a living area with a gas fireplace and tv and a full bathroom. The upstairs has an additional living area with pull out couch, a full bath including a rain head shower and a master bedroom furnished with a king size bed.

We hope you enjoy, relax and rejuvenate during your stay.

*Note, the entrance to the unit is in the stairwell of Charlotte's Coffeehouse. Patrons of the coffeehouse may walk by the front door to the unit during coffeehouse business hours only.

Great place to stay! They thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. The hot tub is an amazing end to the day! The coffee house down below is a great place to eat breakfast: great food and convenient.

This made for a great weekend getaway. It had everything you’d need and then some for a relaxing weekend. Plus a coffee shop on the bottom floor for good breakfast and coffee!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Drake house. Great location to walk downtown and a quick drive to the river walk. Host left great suggestions and the coffee shop downstairs is an added bonus. Will definitely stay again if in the area 😁

Weekend getaway

This apartment was beautiful, in a perfect location, right above a very cool cafe and walking distance to everything. There was a minor mix-up with the housekeeping upon our arrival, which was taken care of quickly by management, who went above and beyond to make right. We would definitely recommend this apartment and look forward to our next stay!Oh and the huge hot tub was a great way to wind down the day.

Awesome Place, Perfect Location

The Loft provided everything we needed for our stay and more! Loved the atmosphere, the cozy fireplace, and the hot tub to end our day. So many cool restaurants and shops within walking distance, and Charlotte’s Coffee Shop right downstairs was a definite bonus! Communication with Jenn was easy and all necessary information was relayed timely. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Downtown Dubuque area!

We would 100% stay here again. My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend in Dubuque, and this was the perfect place to stay. We loved the Millwork District area. Being above a coffee shop was fun and convenient to grab coffee or a bite to eat. The location was ideal for walking to nearby microbreweries. It was also only a 15-20 min walk to the Riverwalk, which we enjoyed. The Loft itself was clean and comfortable. It was a great place to relax for the weekend. Communication with the host was easy. I'd highly recommend!

Weekend on the River

Very cute place, walking distance to coffee, brewery, and a few local bars. We had friends that had a boat on the river, it was a short 13 min drive. Would highly recommend the Drake House!

Very tastefully restored brownstone. Easy walk to many restaurants. Coffee shop on main level. Our only complaint is that pullout couch was not very comfortable.

Perfect getaway

We loved our stay here! Stayed 2 nights for an anniversary weekend. The space is clean and so cozy and the deck with hot tub was so relaxing. We walked to bars and restaurants nearby. We ordered from Charlottes coffee shop online and just walked right down the steps to pick up our orders. We will definitely be back!

Excellent apartment, excellent location

The apartment was lovely and comfortable and in a very cool neighborhood (an easy walk to the warehouse district, which I recommend, the old downtown, and multiple restaurants). It was great being literally upstairs from a coffee shop. Communication with the owner was excellent, parking was easy. We've no hesitation is saying we'll stay here again the next time we find ourselves in Dubuque!

Grandson’s hockey tournament

We really didn’t want to stay at the hotel with all of the kids so I searched VRBO and found this property. We definitely will stay again when we are in town for future hockey tournaments. I can’t say enough about how great the loft is! We were also lucky and had fabulous weather the first weekend in March so we got to enjoy the deck! Charlotte’s coffee shop is awesome as well. You can walk downstairs with your slippers on and grab a coffee! Parking is across the street but very simple. Everything was phenomenal! Thank you Jenn for being a great host!! We definitely will be back.

Perfect place to relax!

This is the perfect getaway for relaxing! Charlotte's Coffee shop is directly below. The amenities did not disappoint. The hot tub located on the outer deck was perfect for privacy. The host was quick to respond for any questions. Very clean and inviting. The washer and dryer onsite was helpful to have. Charlottes Coffee House does have a dining area down the hall from this unit. We could hear some of the patrons while watching a movie in the living room. We weren't bothered by it, just a note for anyone inquiring. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again in the future. The host thought of everything; Kerig K-Cups and machine (and creamer), extra blankets if needed, Shampoo and Conditioner as well as body wash. Robes were also provided for the Hot Tub.
