The staff was incredibly friendly and flexible when we ran into a small snag with our baggage. The room was clean, and centrally located just off of the main shopping strip. Lots of restaurants within immediate walking distance. We would stay again!

Decent stay, but could be better

The location was good, the lady at check in was nice, the place itself wasn’t the best, the bed was rock hard (could be great for some), the shower door leaks and the floor was flooded every shower and there is only minimal hot water.

Inside the walls near the Buze (sp) gate. Be prepared to climb a zillion steps - standard procedure everywhere inside the walls. Staff was especially helpful with luggage transport to Buze gate at end of stay.

The reception is separate from the building where we stayed, which is actually a very good thing. Our building had only one room per floor, making for a quiet room in the ancient, walled city. Charm of old merged w/modern updates!

We stayed at La Vita e Bella II for 3 nights. The location is fantastic on the right side of the town for being dropped off and picked up (this is quite a big thing given the sheer number of stairs either side of the town). You are meters from a street full of restaurants and less than 5 minutes from the harbour and Main Street. The office for the accommodation (where you collect keys and can leave bags is also very close). The accommodation itself is lovely and very clean with a nice shower, yes there are stairs to get to it, but not too many! Would definitely stay again.

The property is small but has everything you might need. We loved the fact that it’s inside Old Town as that was our preference, it’s great to be there even for small period of time. Closer to everything. The staff was amazing and they helped us promptly with our bags. Too many stairs, plan on using that help! They also helped with transportation to the airport. Highly recommended!

When you check in they are polite and super helpful. We were able to leave our bags at the desk in the AM while we explored the city. Came back that evening and got our room key and baggage. Room was fantastic! Easy walk to everything in Old Town Dubrovnik. In the AM we checked out and left our bags at the office. We picked up our bags in the afternoon and caught the ferry back to Cavtat. Great experience! Highly recommend!

The room was very accommodating, well equipped to the point of having slippers and robe. Towels were of the uttermost quality, that you’ll only get in 5 stars hotels. Nespresso machine and a lot of pods for you to use. A kettle for tea. Water in the fridge. All toiletries were good quality and of the best aromas. And the location is one block to main street Stradun. Some steps to climb, but it’s Dubrovnik.

Nice view, but lots of stairs

It’s a beautiful room with a nice view of the roof tops. However, it is quite small. Everything was very well done, except for explaining how the hot water works which was disappointing. Nothing like a cold shower in the morning. There are a lot of stairs to get to the building and then additional stairs to the room up a narrow staircase. If you are not in good physical shape, and are not able to carry your bags then I would not recommend it.

Awful service and ok room

The room was fine. Clean but uncomfortable bed, and the bathroom is right next to the bed. The service was horrible, since the moment we arrived. No communication at all. They did not give us check in or check out instructions, and they were not clear at all about working hours. Will not be staying there again.

Look, it was small but comfortable and very nice being in heart of old town Dubrovnik. The ‘system’ to access the apt was very cumbersome. Can’t anyone streamline how to get a ket, electronic or otherwise. Of course, no one on-site to welcome you etc. In our case, TV had two remotes and no explanation how they turned on TV. Turned out, battery was dead in one remote, but took way way way too long to determine that was the problem, thus we had no TV during our stay. We let them know we thought that was the problem via WhatsApp but….no one came to fix or replace them. During our last day, the e-key locked us out, and was a hassle to get someone to help us. They did end up not charging us the city tax because of the TV, but….bottom line: these new “staff less” venues need to really work on documentation for users, and ways to help customers when stuff goes wrong.

The hotel is located right inside the old town and is just a short walk to the nearest exit at Pile Gate. Check-in is at another location but is close enough. The room is a bit small but is clean and well equipped with good quality amenities. Although breakfast was not included as an option, there is no shortage of restaurants nearby.

Not often does a property exceed expectation--this one does. Simply an outstanding property, room/suite accommodations, and location. Situated in the absolute 'heart' of the historic sites - no need whatsoever for taxi/Uber/public transit, as every single attraction is within a very short walking distance. The mansions are everything advertised and more. Staff is wonderfully attentive and available. In our estimation, there is no finer hotel in the entire area. Highest recommendation - we'll definitely return.
