Absolutely fantastic. We loved the house and property. It was immaculate and comfortable. Location was both rustic and peaceful and close to downtown Wimberely for great daytime shopping and nightlife.

Peaceful Paradise

We were looking for quiet and relaxation and this spot was perfect. We enjoyed the pool . The sleeping arrangements worked for us. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed. We brought our own projector and screen and enjoyed movies under the stars at night- the cattle enjoyed the movies too!

Beautiful House

The house is better in person! If you're wanting a quiet property while still being 20 minutes from Wimberly, Kyle and San Marcos, this is it. We were in town for my daughters graduation from TXST. Our stay was perfect in every way. Thank you to the property owners!

Peaceful and private stay

This home was great for a relaxing weekend getaway surrounded by nature. The moment that the gate opened, we were welcomed by about 10 beautiful longhorns surrounding the driving path to the house. The home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, we were not really able to enjoy the two things we look forward to the most, swimming during the day and sitting around the fire at night. There was a county-wide fire ban and the water in the private pool was way too cold for swimming, even though the weather got up to 93 degrees. We still made the best of it and enjoyed the stay.

Absolutely loved this place.

If you want a true Texas experience, this is the place to start. From the home décor to the longhorns that greet you when you pass through the ranch gate, this home feels like a big Texas hug. My husband and 3 kids spent our 5 days hiking as many state parks as possible - and there are some beauties! This house is perfectly situated, almost centrally located to all of the parks we planned to visit. It is a little less than an hour to Austin, over an hour to San Antonio, 1/2 hour to San Marcos, etc. We visited Luckenbach (Bless you, Willie and Waylon) and even though it is rural, it still wasn't a far drive due to the house's fantastic location. My kids swam in the pool every day. And we spent (literally) hours in the chairs outside enjoying the dark skies and watching the longhorns roam around the property. The house had all of the kitchen tools you could need in addition to linens and towels (that were clean and very nice!). The washer and dryer worked great as did all of the appliances. It was very clean and wide open so I could interact with my family in the seating area while I was in the kitchen. We hope to come back again in the spring to see the bluebonnets! We are so happy we had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful, welcoming, cozy property. Thank you!

Longhorn Family

The location is perfect with restaurants, vineyards, and parks to explore. The property itself was so nice off the beaten path. Love the wood interior. Appreciated the messages around the home to care for the property, the water softener/purifier, the pool, the patio to look up at the stars or over the property. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable. Loved the nook area upstairs to take a nap on or just lounge. Loved the variety of areas to sit inside and outside. Very Texas feel of the main room upstairs.4 out of 5 star rating. The only complaint would be the amount of dust in the house (fans, baseboards, and blinds.

Gorgeous setting, beautiful luxe farmhouse

When we arrived, we thrillingly drove through a herd of longhorn steer. Sadly, we never saw them again, but it's a magical place. Loved the house, the pool, the clawfoot. Perfection. (Our only suggestion would be to move the grill under the deck and rearrange its furniture.)

Girls get away

Absolutely everything that i expected. Unfortunately the pool light for night swimming was not working but was communicated to management team. They sent out a technician however he did not fix the problem. Over all the stay was wonderful and we plan on coming back to this site again soon.

Naturastic Getaway

Peaceful Getaway

My husband and I wanted to disconnect and relax for a few days and this property was perfect. Check-in and out was stress free. The cottage was nice and cozy. The pool was always cool and inviting. We had longhorn and deer visitors on two separate mornings. There are plenty of places to eat and things to see in Driftwood or just a short drive away in Wimberly. We absolutey enjoyed our stay and will book again!

Private, Peaceful, Wonderful

My wife and I stayed here for a couple nights for our 15th wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved it. It's very private shielded by thick trees, so even though you could hear cars on the road, you don't come close to seeing the road. The pool is wonderful, and was the perfect temperature even when it was 105 degrees out! This is probably because beautiful live oaks shield it in both the morning and afternoon (and the pump/filter is a ways off, so the ground probably helps too). Anyway, we LOVED the pool. We also used the grill for one meal, and appreciated that. The bed was also comfortable. We'll definitely check out this listing in the future if we're able to get away for a couple days.
