I have been visting this area for over 20 years. Motel 6 is the best option for the rate. We were Friday-Sunday. 1st room we checked into had hair all over the sink from someone who had just shaved. I tried to call the front desk but there was no cord on the phone to the jack. We got checked into a 2nd room, the bathroom floor was soaking wet because the cieling was leaking and burnt out the light. Again, I couldn't call the front desk because the phone didn't have a dial tone. We got changed to room a few doors down that had stained bedding. This place is very old and needs some serious upgrades!! Pay extra to stay at the Gadsden!!! Never again. The pool is not heated!!

No frills, but worth the price.

For the price, I have no complaints. It’s an older kind of run down place but room was clean and it had hot water. For a simple overnight stay while travelling, it was ok. Noe of the desk person to let us check in a couple hours early. We appreciated that courtesy.

Have photos of the poor conditions at this facility. Cops also watch this place for drugs. I was approached by one as I walked to my room. It was not a pleasant experience.

The door didn't seal well and you could hear the outside noise pretty easily. Also the mattress was not comfortable and I had difficulty sleeping.

The A/C was terrible hot and humid in the room and supposedly this is one of the rooms that had a good A/C, I would hate to have been in a room had a bad A/C. Bugs, I killed 2 bees, there were flies flying around that I could not get. The last straw was sleeping and feeling something crawl on me. I got up and there was a bug crawling on my shoulder. I brushed it off and killed it. That was it at 3:30am we packed our bags and left. I normally stay at Motel 6's when I travel but will never stay at the one in Douglas again!
