    Escape to a secluded, private lodge near the Current River in Southeast Missouri. This spacious countryside getaway is perfect for family vacations, reunions, float trip lodging, and weekend retreats—offering a fishing pond, bonfire pit, walking trails, pickleball court, a chef’s kitchen, and a covered patio overlooking the water. Available add-ons: Day access to our private 100 acre lake (amazing fishing) and extra trails; small pontoon rental fleet (6 boats seating 4 each); 14x24 furnished gathering gazebo with outdoor fireplace.

    SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS / OCCUPANCY

    The lodge sleeps 14 guests in beds:
    • 4 bedrooms with queen beds
    • 3 bedrooms with two twin beds each (6 twins total)
    Total: 10 beds

    Up to 6 additional overnight guests may sleep on air mattresses (bring your own) or in recliners for a $30 one-time fee per person.

    Important: Air mattresses may not be placed in bedrooms due to limited space and fire safety.

    Linens are provided. We provide 2 towels + 2 washcloths per guest.



    A QUIET, RELAXING PROPERTY (NOT A PARTY HOUSE)

    This lodge is ideal for guests seeking a peaceful countryside experience. If you’re looking for a party house, this is not the right fit.

    We live on-site next door, and outdoor music must end by 10:00 PM.

    Private areas not included with the rental: the pool and owner’s back patio with hot tub and exercise equipment.



    EVENTS + DAY GUESTS (FEE REQUIRED)

    Events and gatherings are allowed with approval.

    The booking includes 14 guests. For every guest on the property beyond 14 (even if not staying overnight), there is a $10 per person day guest fee.

    Guest counts are monitored, and groups over 14 are only allowed with approval and additional payment. Unapproved guest counts may result in immediate removal without refund.



    OPTIONAL EXTRA LODGING (SEPARATE RENTAL)

    We also have a very basic bunkhouse near our wedding barn (¼ mile from the lodge) with:
    • 6 bunk beds
    • Sitting area
    • Full bathroom

    Rate: $115/night, 2-night minimum, paid in person.



    KITCHEN + DINING

    The kitchen includes standard appliances, cookware, and dining utensils.
    We provide:
    • Keurig + regular coffee maker (filters provided)
    • Dish cloths
    • 1 roll of paper towels
    • Gas grill outside

    Please bring your own:
    • Coffee
    • Food/pantry items
    • Leftover containers

    There are 2 extra folding tables + 4 benches under the stairwell, plus a dining table that seats 8-10.



    BATHROOM SUPPLIES

    We provide:
    • 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom (6 total)
    • Hand soap
    • 3 hairdryers

    Please bring your own personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, etc.).



    BEDROOM NOTES / LAYOUT
    • 6 bedrooms upstairs with 2 large bathrooms in the center
    • Twin rooms overlook the courtyard area
    • Queen rooms overlook the south field
    • One queen bedroom is on the main floor beside the third bathroom (slightly larger, no window)

    Rooms are not oversized. If bringing small children, a smaller portable crib/pack-and-play is recommended.
    We provide a high chair and pack-and-play.

    Wi-Fi note: Starlink works well for our rural location, but occasional outages can occur.

    • We typically mow during the week and water flowers daily—please be respectful of maintenance staff. Guests may not ask workers to leave while performing scheduled work.



    ANIMALS ON PROPERTY

    We have friendly outdoor pets:
    • Shy (Great Dane / Great Pyrenees mix—calm, friendly)
    • Sweetie (social outdoor cat; never inside the lodge)

    At times, there may also be a friendly foster dog/puppy on the property. Please do not book if you are uncomfortable with outside pets.

    No guest pets allowed on the property.



    LAUNDRY

    Washer/dryer rental: $10/day (bring detergent).
    Located by the wedding venue in the kitchen/workroom.
    Unavailable Friday–Sunday if there’s an event at the wedding venue.



    SECURITY

    Outdoor security cameras are located on the driveway and owner’s house.



    TRASH

    A large trash receptacle is located on the lodge patio for bagged trash.



    PROPERTY BOUNDARIES / GATES

    Please do not open gates or enter gated fields. Guests are welcome to explore anywhere accessible without opening a gate.



    HOST AVAILABILITY

    We are available to answer questions and can typically respond within a few hours when we’re home. We respect privacy but you may see us outside during your stay. We do not provide 24-hour hotel-style staffing.



    DIRECTIONS / GPS

    Our physical address does not always register correctly with GPS. Please navigate using our map pin: “The Lodge at Loma Linda.” Written directions are available by call or email. We’re in the country, but conveniently located right off the highway.
