This place exceeded my expectations which is tough. It was with magnificent views, the villas, the food and the service could not be better. So zen and the staff Marlon A, Marlon B and Pablo were lovely. It is a hidden a gem.

Our stay was absolutely incredible. The property has breathtaking views of both the ocean and the mountains — truly the kind you can’t stop staring at. The restaurant had great food options and amazing cocktails, and everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. The staff was beyond accommodating and helped us book all of our excursions with ease. Housekeeping deserves a special shout-out… they were SO quick and efficient it felt like ninjas snuck in and made everything spotless. Huge thank you to Pablo, Marlon, Marlon 2.0, and Leo for taking such great care of us throughout our entire stay. The villas were extremely clean, private, and quiet — perfect for a honeymoon. We couldn’t recommend this place more!

One of the nicest places I’ve stayed in Central America. Beautiful villas on the side of the mountain with a beautiful view of the whale tail. Service and food were top notch.

Gem with a view

Located in the heart of the mountain, access only by 4x4, with stunning views from the restaurant and main pool as well as from the villa. Food at the restaurant is very good and the customer service is top notch.

My fiancé and I enjoyed a relaxing week at this hotel. It's very close to town and they have great recommendations for activities around the area or a little outside the town of Uvita. The staff was absolutely fantastic! Paolo went out of his way to make our experience memorable and made us feel right at home. Definitely staying here on our next visit!

The villas are fantastic and staff was so nice and offered great service. The view of birds and other wildlife was nice. One of the staff took us where we needed to go a stayed right with us which was great since the villas are rather remote. They store modern with private pools in each. I will definitely go back.

Amazing views!!! The staff was so helpful and nice. It was a little scary navigating up to the villa but manageable. Definitely rent a 4x4 vehicle. If you are looking for a peaceful vacation, this is the place for you. Pura vida!

If I could give more stars, I would! I spent two weeks in Costa Rica & I chose to spend my second week at Golden Pineap & wow, this property is truly magical. I came here to rest, breathe and reconnect with myself after an intense week of deep inner work. As a business owner and a single mother of three, I live in a constant “go, go, go” lifestyle and this was the first time in a long time that I allowed myself to simply be. Golden Pineap was the perfect place for that. The views here are unbelievable; mountains, ocean, jungle, clouds rolling in, sunsets that look like paintings. Normally on vacation I feel like I need to explore and do a million things, but here I didn’t have to go anywhere. I could relax in my villa and feel completely content. The private pool, the outdoor bathtub, the rainfall shower, the peaceful design, everything felt intentional and soothing. It was exactly what my mind, body, and soul needed. And the staff; what can I even say? Every single person I encountered had the kindest energy and the warmest heart. Pablo, Mario, Leo; each of them went above and beyond, but Leo truly went the extra mile in every way. I felt supported, cared for, and safe, even traveling solo. If you’re considering a massage, please book with Liliana, her hands are absolutely magical. This was the perfect place to end my CR journey. It gave me rest, clarity, and a deep sense of peace that I haven’t felt in years. And the icing on the cake? Finding out this is a woman-owned!

We had total privacy, a wonderful plunge pool and a view across the trees and valley to the Pacific, sunsets and Uvitas whale's tail, a huge sand bar that appears and disappears with the tide. The food was very good, but not excellent. It is luxurious and everyone tries really, really hard to please guests. Toucans and other birds stopped by our patio, 10 feet away. We enjoyed our stay very much.

OMG the pictures don’t do it justice! Sooooo beautiful. The staff is SO accommodating. Very clean but remember you are in the middle of the jungle so there are bugs and insects. The food is delicious. You will absolutely need a 4x4 to get there. No complaints. Would def stay again

This place was magical. The drive up the mountain was an adventure. Place is safe and guarded my security. The villas are beautiful and clean. It was breathtaking. The staff so nice and quick with all their services. The room was cleaned everyday and smelled so good. The restaurant was so convenient to have right next to us. We could eat at the restaurant or order our food to eat in our villa which was great on the days we were very tired from excursions. It was better than I could imagine.

FIRST TIP: Make sure you have a 4x4 truck, the mountain incline decline is very steep. Outside of that my stay here was outstanding. I just got back from celebrating my birthday and the staff as well as the owner was very kind, very welcoming. They stayed up all night and giving us directions and leading us up the mountain until we got there and I truly appreciate that. And then on my birthday they made a cake and sing Happy Birthday it was very sweet. The cleaning staff does an amazing job keeping the rooms clean. Once we left and came back to our rooms it was spotless smelled amazing and they kept the pools clean as well. The chef did his thing every night and the food was very delicious. Thank you for showing me a great time while there. The views were fantastic.

Our stay at the golden pineapple was wonderful. My husband and I love to travel to new countries and hotels. This was by far the best place we have ever stayed. The drive up to the hotel does require a 4x4 vehicle. However, we did not view this as a negative. Nothing amazing comes easy! The views were spectacular and actually enticed to want to stay at the resort which says a lot as we typically prefer to leave each day. The food was great. And service was even better! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The previous negative reviews have unrealistic expectations or blame this property for things out of their control. I would definitely come back again and encourage anyone to stay here when visiting CR. So much to do nearby! Thank you Jessie for a wonderful experience.
