"The Thomas Hotel is simply amazing! We live in Tyler but some friends and I decided to have a little staycation to try it out. The staff was so accommodating and the check-in process was seamless and quick. The entire hotel is gorgeous with wonderful architecture and interior decorating. My friends and I would not hesitate to recommend the Thomas as the must-stay hotel anywhere around. "
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tyler - University Area

"I booked here last minute for an impromptu stay in Tyler. It Is situated beside another hotel that you see first, and have to follow around to the right to get to the entrance door for this hotel. I went into the the first hotel as that's where Google maps leads to. The guy on reception was the nicest friendliest person and explained out mistake. We arrived for check in at the correct hotel, late might I add, about 11.30pm. However we didn't feel half as welcomed here by the night desk staffer. To be honest I felt we had inconvenienceed him by showing up at that time and was disrupting whatever show he was trying to watch on his tablet behind the desk. He perked up a small amount when he noticed the change in my attitude.
Anyway, on to the positives, had a good sleep in comfortable bed, the room was clean and spacious and provided the essentials needed. I didn't have time to avail of the pool so I cannot comment on that"
"Room was clean, love the large counter space in the bathroom which afforded me to have plenty of room for my wife’s toiletries as well as mine. Also, totally love and surprised at the walk-in shower which is not the usual room configuration/setup in majority of the hotels around. We’re definitely going to stay here again and again when we visit family. "
