"Location was good. Paid too much for a plain room. Not very comfortable. Bare minimum amenities. You pay extra for parking."

"Where to begin… Pool & hot tub were out of order (I phoned prior to booking and the staff said they were repaired and functional). It is worth mentioning that this was the main reason for selecting this hotel. The clerk was reluctant to offer a refund, and stated that I needed to contact Expedia to get a refund. I declined and accepted that swimming would not be an option. The room was filthy. My bed had a stain on the top cover. I removed the cover and there were some crusty ‘discharges’ on the bed sheets (probably ‘love stains’). The bathroom was disgusting and moldy. The microwave had what appeared to be melted butter and basil or chives that needed wiped off. Even the miniature Keurig machine had coffee stains on the drip tray. I reached out to Expedia and they said that they would need to speak with the staff before issuing a refund. When they phoned the hotel they received an automated message indicating that: “the number you have dialed cannot be reached. Please hang up and try again”. I verified the number that they dialed, and one can only assume that they hotel blocked Expedia’s number, probably due to the number of dissatisfied customers demanding refunds. Thankfully they did not block Expedia’s email address, and I was able to receive a full refund and find a hotel that was clean, safe, and had attentive staffing. DO NOT STAY HERE!"

"The female staff were super nice and very pleasant! They had a lot to offer for breakfast and the room was nice and spacious. The pillows went pretty flat though, even with two extra ones. There was also a flashing light right above the bed, I think on the smoke detector, which was quite bothersome when trying to sleep. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay!"

"Loved our stay at Starlight Resort. We had a spacious King suite with a comfortable seating area in the front room. Quirky to walk through the bathroom to the bedroom but as a couple it did not pose any issues. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean with plenty of towels. Limited amenities only soap and shampoo were included so plan ahead. The pool and Jacuzzi area was very clean. The owner was fun to talk with, friendly and keeps a close eye on the property. Small breakfast room provided a continental breakfast, but there are so many good breakfast restaurants nearby we only used it one morning. Enjoyed the fact that your car can pull right up to the motel door rather than walking through a lobby and up in elevator. We will definitely stay here again."
