Top Devonport Chocolates Hotel Reviews

The Hotel Britomart

10/10 Excellent

"The beautiful aesthetics and design of the space made the experience feel elevated and special. Small rooms but cosy, beautiful and loved the very black out blinds. Restaurant was wonderful."

The Parnell Hotel & Conference Centre

10/10 Excellent

"I don't often write reviews because I am usually in a different hotel each night and I don't have the time, and most hotels are OK because the bad ones go out of business, but this place is great and deserves a special mention. It has an excellent location just down the street from the Rose Garden and close enough that you can walk to the city centre and the sky tower. Parking was included and the room had everything you could want, a large very comfortable bed with fridge, microwave and toaster and the crockery etc so often missing from this type of hotel. The bathroom was clean, modern and had a large shower with plenty of hot water . The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and if you are looking for a base from which to explore Auckland, this is it!"

Auckland Rose Park Hotel

8/10 Good

"The staff are the biggest bonus for the hotel, from the reception staff, waiting and household staff. There does appear to be an issue with the level of staff availability in the kitchen. The food was very good but we did have to wait an hour for our starters one evening even though there was no more than 12 people in the restaurant. The menu didn’t change during our stay. Although a buffet breakfast was advertised, this is only available if they have a certain number of staying guests. On these occasions you are offered the full à la cart breakfast, but by day 3 we just want a lighter breakfast, fortunately this was a buffet morning. Parking is easy and plentiful and the hotel is serviced by the local bus service if you didn’t want or couldn’t walk into the centre. There is also Parnell train station, but we would only get that for the return journey as the walk is uphill and may be challenging for some"

Hotel Grand Chancellor Auckland

10/10 Excellent

"Great breakfast, lovely big clean room, proper mugs for tea, and an ironing board - they make all the difference! Lovely welcoming staff who made a fuss for our honeymoon. Fab location too."

Hilton Auckland

8/10 Good

"Location near ferries was very convenient for day trips to nearby islands."

Grand Millennium Auckland

10/10 Excellent

"Property was incredibly well kept and clean, as were the rooms upon entering. We loved how they had options to skip room cleaning and donate towards Kiwi birds instead. The gym and pool were your typical hotel ammenities but were kept in top condition. The elevators were very fast, check in/out was a breeze with knowledgeable and staff. We opted to include lounge access which was a bit underwhelming - there were limited snack options throughout the day. We did enjoy the cocktail/drink hours from 5-7 - both bartenders made amazing drinks and were very kind. Overall a really good stay at the hotel."

Imagine Beach Road

10/10 Excellent

"Clean and quiet. Great food options around. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. We loved our stay here. We walked a half a block to pick up our rental car."

Copthorne Hotel Auckland City

8/10 Good

"Perfect location when attending events at Spark Arena. Rooms are looking pretty tired with bathrooms in need of a refurb but beds are comfortable."

The Esplanade Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Everything was awesome! Great staff."
