We enjoyed our stay while we were in town for a few days. The host was very nice and accommodating. It is self check in but we did get to meet the host when he brought us life jackets and let us use his kayaks. The home was close to restaurants.
Came up for fishing. The location is great easy access to the lake. The host was phenomenal with feedback and follow up and questions. Will be booking next year.
Our family recently enjoyed a vacation at this home with our four children. The accommodations were bright, spacious, and conveniently located, providing easy access to various tourist attractions. We would like to suggest that future visitors consider shopping in Wyandotte instead of Ecorse, as Wyandotte offers a greater variety of shops and a more pleasant shopping experience. This home is particularly well-suited for fishermen, as it is a short walk from the Detroit River and situated directly on the canal. We would like to mention that the home is accessed via a full flight of stairs and also does not have a shower, so entering the large jacuzzi may be challenging for those with mobility issues. Additionally, the proximity to train tracks results in some noise throughout the day and night , although this did not significantly impact our stay. We would recommend that the kitchen be equipped with dish towels and a cutting board, or that guests bring their own. The host was helpful and attentive to any needs that arose. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would gladly return in the future.
The property was clean, well maintained and the host was very responsive. There were a number of things we felt could be improved upon. First, the listing should say that it is a second floor dwelling. If it said that, I missed it. We were 6 guys all over 70 and the second floor made it difficult. No handicap access.Second, although the unit had a circulating tub, the shower being in the tub and having to "crawl" over the walls of the tub to take a shower was tough. in addition, the tub was slippery when standing in it to take a shower. The bathroom also needed a mirror and more hooks, bars for hanging wet towels.Third, the kitchen was short of a couple of items that are needed. The host was responsive a supplied a number of things when asked (can opener, grill propane, grill tools, cookie sheets, etc.) we still could have used hot pads, oven mitts, table pads for hot pots, etc. We also could have used a pot that can go in the oven for cooking.Last, the unit had a Keurig coffee maker. That was great, but we brought regular coffee and filters. The host actually brought us a bag of k-cups, THANK YOU, but wouldn't have had to if we would have known.GREAT THINGS. The unit was clean, many of the updates were new, which might mean that this just came on the market and the host is still filling in some of the gaps, and HE ALSO PROVIDED US WITH A SMALL SECOND FREEZER WHICH WAS GREAT TO FREEZE THE FISH WE CAUGHT.That is why I rated him a good and not an excellent.
The host was excellent kept telling us if you need anything just ask very nice and polite, I just didn't like all the stairs I'm 68 and have bad knees other than that it was great
