大分県立日田林工高等学校東側の景観。左正面に正門、中央は教室棟右側は、永山城跡の堀および旧日田県県庁の石垣。旧県庁の敷地は明治8年以降から教育施設として利用が計画され、明治34年には前身の大分県立農林学校の校舎が建てられた。現在は同校の体育館がある。
