Very nice historic building in a great location. Spacious room. Nice facilities. One staff person at the check out desk was rude. I felt I was interrupting her when I asked to check out. Staff at the Sullivan's steakhouse also rude. Not sure why in such an upscale property. I would however give it another try overall. $6 airport bus picks up across the street so very convenient.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was large, the bathroom was large as well. The room was clean and relatively quiet considering it is in downtown Detroit! It was close to many tourist locations. I enjoyed take out from the restaurant on the first floor (Sullivan's) and enjoyed the convienence of the Starbucks on the first floor. My only complaint is that valet does take 15-30 mins to get your car and it is not communicated to you when your car is ready - so you HAD to be down there and find it yourself when it was available. If you are having to come and go often, it would be a pain.

This is a beautiful hotel with incredibly courteous staff. If you’re able to get a room that includes access to the club room on the 23rd floor, I highly recommend it, as you’ll have access to breakfast, snacks, and a continental dinner.
