"I think my wife and I were the third people to stay at this place. It was perfect. The owners obviously live here at least part of the year, and it’s clear they love it. The bungalow is lovely. The entire place opens up with classic English countryside views, sounds, and smells. They have around 10 bird feeders all over the place, along with binoculars, bird guide books, OS maps, general guide books. "Property as advertised. Very comfortable stay, with everything you need. Despite typical wet and gloomy Dartmoor weather, the cottage was warm with plenty of space for us and the dogs to dry off between walks."

"The cottage was very clean and nicely furnished with some lovely welcome treats upon arrival. It was also a lovely quiet place. The only downside, personally, was we would have preferred a small table and chairs near the foot of the stairs over bar stools at a breakfast bar. Being able to use the log burner would have been nice but with a thatched roof, we understand the dangers of that."

"Lovely place in the heart of Tavistock. The spacious living/dining area was great for our group. A couple of bigger pans for cooking would be useful. Parking is a bit of a pain but we managed. Overall we had a great stay and would book again."

The location is stunning with fantastic views out across Dartmoor and direct access within minutes to some of the best walking in North Dartmoor. "We needed a room for one of our workers for just one night. He was greeted warmly and made to feel very welcome. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Made a bacon sandwich for our man to take to work with him as he started work prior to when breakfast was due to start. He said it was the best bacon sandwich he had ever had.!"
