"This hotel is now semi derelict. We arrived and walked around freely unchallenged. There is one member of staff on site. The gates are closed with a sign 'Beware of the Dogs' and we had to push the gates open. "Wifi connection insufficient for a business hotel, barely enough for online meetings or cloud work. After 3 interventions the IT guy was able to up the data down/upstream from 1MB/sec to 10MB/sec... Apparently this is standard and as much as their system allows. (Resort to your own SIM to ensure connectivity!). Also, the safe in my room wasn't working. Called reception several times to fix it. Noone ever showed up. Not sure if they always understood - I am aware there may be a language barrier....

"A great experience in a well designed and well run place. Just one simple thing that can be done to make the experience even better: Move or create a sound-proof / sound-dampening box around the water pump. Currently the pump is situated directly outside the accommodation and when people use water, the pump turns on. If you are a light sleeper (like me) this can be disturbing. "This was a beautiful location. Hard to get to... 3 hours drive from Maputo and you basically have to hire a driver. The staff was warm and lovely and always wanting to help make the vacation ideal.
