「We arrived at this hotel after a 2.5 hour drive from Christchurch by rental car. The very cheerful staff welcomed us, which helped to ease the fatigue of the long drive on unfamiliar roads. The grounds were well-cleaned and very quiet. The sounds of birds singing and the waves crashing on the shore beyond the mountains were pleasant to hear. We stayed for two nights, and the other guests were also polite and pleasant to greet. If I could make a few suggestions for the next guest and the manager,...

「Kitchen fully equipped with our cooking needs. Furniture comfortable, security good, parking excellent (undercover). Walking distance to main shopping area & short drive to supermarkets. The view to the ocean & mountains (snow-capped) was fantastic.」

「Lovely stay in the beautiful cottage. We expected rustic but the cottage was well appointed and everything was spotlessly clean. Comfortable and warm beds. 」

「An old "dog friendly" cottage that has been modernized with double glazed windows, heat pump, new appliances (fridge, microwave, stove, tv ....). Very comfortable stay. It is opposite the boat launch and they launch boats from 4:00 am so take some earplugs. Good value for money.」
