「Attended my first Drake Relays. Drove 6.5 hrs up as media knowing it could all be tornadoed out. I actually liked the location. This hotel is in an industrial part of West Des Moines behind some other hotels. It's right off a couple interstates and within walking distance to McDonalds, Taco John's, and others. No time to drive due to said tornadoes! First impression was okay, both of facility and room. Quite small room, no table to work on computer so I parked it underneath the TV. Always felt...

「The the hotel we stayed out my phone got stolen and my meds and the room person was just about to get my ring before we left we will never go back to the same hotel it cost me $400 when we got home just to get a new phone 」

「The Microtel room was clean and stocked. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The staff was very helpful and attentive.」

「It was a renovated room. Nice and clean. The sink, shower, and toilet were all very nice. But the room was very small, with no fridge, no microwave. More importantly, not a single chair! If we arrived early, maybe we could ask the front desk. We need a chair just to sit to put shoes on. A bed there was too high. The front desk staff was very nice. The road noise did not bother us.」

「Check in was easy. Nice for the price. Request a handicapped room and didn’t get one. TV hard to figure out but once I did it was great. 」

「Very conveniently close to Omaha airport and Creighton university where my kids attend. Sign lights are not turned on at dusk early enough and can be hard to find in early evenings.」
