「The room was very clean and the staff were all very helpful. The hotel is luxurious. Two beautiful pools and very good food. The views are stunning over the ocean. The beach is not suitable for swimming due to heavy surf and a strong side current but Talpe beach a 1.5k walk or tuk-tuk away has a safe beach behind a reef. 」

「Loved this little bit of paradise. The pool and view is the highlight, very quiet and tranquil, a great place to relax and unwind. Great food, fresh and very reasonable. Quiet remote but taxi or tuk tuk is easy to arrange via the reception. Rooms vary, some have better lake views than others, but very clean and well arranged and a good size. Only negative is that there is no mini-bar so no easy to keep you water and drinks called, although you can always get ice from the bar. Suits couples more...

「I had a really wonderful time at Tabula Rasa. Felt like the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure my stay was perfect. The location is stunning. It is worth being located up hill in the peace and quiet, and so easy to pop out in a tuk tuk. The food was really good, I expected to eat out more but, I’d often crave the chef’s dhal! 「We stayed for 10 days and this hotel was perfect. Two pools, never too crowded, well maintained. Public areas and rooms very clean. Room had a great balcony, lovely sunset view. The staff are brilliant, so welcoming, helpful, always cheerful. We only used the restaurant twice and the food was good both times. It’s 10 min walk down to Unawatuna beach, 15 min tuk tuk to Jungle beach. Unawatuna has lots of food options and shops but there are also some great places to eat within a few mins walk of...

「They forgot what I was asking in advance. There were two guys on the front desk. One of the guy tried to solve the problem but another one was very bad behavior. After all they gave discount the cost, but I did not want the discount. I just wanted them to apologize unreservedly when I asked them why my order was forgotten. It is common sense behavior against foreigners. They are friendly but they do not know international manners and they say many excuse.」

「Let me start we arrived at the hotel staff was super friendly right from the beginning. As we we’re walking to see our room we went towards the water to find out no beach since we are beach people my wife started to lose it I said let’s see the room first as she is telling Me I am not staying here . We go up to the room it was beautiful and comfortable! Well she opens cabinets where tv is supposed to be no tv boy she wanted to murder me . I said let’s spend the night and we will talk about it ....

「Large rooms with comfortable bed right on the beach. Easy walking to many tourist shops and many restaurants. Lots of fresh seafood available from these restaurants. Staff was very friendly and eager to help with a smile. The restaurant prepared a seafood grill each night and set tables with candies at the edge of the surf. Breakfast was very good with lots of fruit and an omelette station as well as curry. Can’t go wrong staying here. 」

Das offene Design, mitten in der Natur, eins mit der Umgebungen und den dort lebenden Tieren - es ist einmalig. Es ist total ruhig gelegen aber trotzdem nicht weit zum Stadtkern. Die Zimmer sind super groß, bequeme Betten, man hat alles, was notwendig ist. Das Personal ist so lieb und zuvorkommend. Unsere Reise verspätete sich aufgrund des Fluges etwas, aber der liebe Sicherheitsmann hat...

「At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there.」
