「This hotel has a very interesting historical background with all the comforts one expects at a nice hotel. The staff is friendly and receptive to any requests. 「ホテルのおばさんの愛想のなさはこれまで経験したことがないほどでした。ネットの接続がうまくゆかなくて、尋ねたがつっけんどんの返事。おまけに玄関のドアのカギは調子が悪く、一度夜に外から帰ってきて開かず、携帯電話も持っていなかったので連絡もできず、シャットアウトされてしまった。寒い風の吹く中を。ホテルは交通量の多い道路沿いのためやかましく、立て付けが悪いため隙間風がヒューヒュー唸っている。深夜に、目の前のパブで酔っぱらった連中がケンカ乱闘騒ぎを起こし、警察と救急が来る始末。」

「Our only complaint was that we had booked a room with a sea view but didn’t get one. When we raised this the hotel said they would have one available for us the next day. They were true to their word but we didn’t like the room so ended up staying where we were. The hotel was lovely, breakfast fabulous and the staff were all amazing and so friendly. We will definitely be returning sometime in the future.」

「Excellent 2 night stay. We booked a balcony bedroom which had the most incredible views across the sea to enjoy the sunset. The rooms are on the small side and the bathroom is compact. However everything is spotless. Downsides would be the thin walls: be prepared to overhear people talking and using the bathroom! And the door to the balcony was hard to open, close and lock. The staff are warm and welcoming and highly efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant lacks character but...
