Located between St Louis and Springfield, Missouri, Meramec Caverns has some extraordinary cave formations. There are 4.6 miles of caverns tucked away in the Ozark Mountains. Artifacts from Pre- Colombian Native American Indians have been found in the caverns and it is ruptured that outlaw Jessie James used them as a hideout. Also Union troops camped out inside the huge opening at the beginning of the caverns

We appreciate their concern for safety while under a tornado warning. The only thing I would suggest is to add more cookware - we had a large group and Cooked each night. "We chose this hotel due to our need for 16 days of parking and a 24 hour shuttle service to and from the airport. The flight returning was late (12:30a) and the shuttle driver didn’t show up for the shift so the person at the desk came and got us herself. And, she was so nice!!"
