Condo was clean and well stocked. Some minor scratches on walls from past guest, but nothing major. I appreciated the abundance of bath towels for us to use. Nice view out the balcony of side pool and partial ocean view. The negative is the check-in process and elevators. We were told there was recent change in front desk management. Upon checking there was a huge line and the front staff was very rude. When we finally got checked in and unload we then had to spend 45 minutes waiting for the elevators. 2 of the 4 elevators work and we were told this is an ongoing issue. Then we made it to our room only to have the key pad dead to unlock the door. We had to spend another 30 minutes waiting for maintenance to come change the battery. This isn’t the end of the world, but after driving 11 hours, it is very frustrating.

We had an amazing time! Everything was great!! Very clean room, nice views of the ocean. My kids loved the pools and easy access to the beach. Owners were very helpful during the booking process. Overall excellent experience.

Amazing

Second time staying at Pelican. We love how it has so many convenient things. The cafe and tiki bar have so many things to choose from so you don’t have to leave as much. I loved how updated and cute this condo was after staying in one last year that wasn’t as nice.

Destin 10/10 would definitely go back

Property was clean and nicely appointed. Beautiful view of the beach. Our 3 year old loved the pools. The tiki bar/cafe offered delicious drinks and snacks for a reasonable price. The beach was stunning and had calm waters, would recommend renting chairs and an umbrella.

Excellent

Overall,I truly enjoyed our stay. Lets start with the negatives; The elevators had minds of their own and were slow moving and the doors tried to eat you if you didn’t move fast enough between people getting off and people getting on. I didn’t appreciate that to sit in the beach and see the ocean you had to rent a ridiculously over priced chair. If you brought your own chair you had to sit behind all the rental chairs. For the positives; the pools were always clean, the people were very nice and no guests got out of hand. It was close walking distance to places around with things to do. The sand was soft and the water was very clear.I would book again next time we travel to Destin.

Paradise

Very nice condo. Great location. Beach is amazing and pools are fantastic. The Cafe has really good food and the Tiki bar is awesome. Highly recommend!!!!!

Outstanding location and accommodations!!!

The condo was well appointed and faced southeast allowing for sunrise views with afternoon shade. The property sits directly in the beach providing for easy access, and had great amenities. The on site cafe was convenient for quick and tasty breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Perfect Getaway

The whole condo is so pretty. They did an excellent job making it feel clean, modern, and cozy. The view from the patio was perfect for playing Uno each evening and getting up to drink coffee in the morning. Beds were comfy, and the TV was great for hanging out after we ate dinner. The staff were all super nice, smooth check in. We reserved chairs on the beach while we were there, and servers from the Tiki bar brought your beverages. Even on row three, the view was great. Overall it was a great time, and we will probably book again next summer!

Could be better

Spring Break 2024. Let me start by saying I understand that maintenance isn’t something the owners can control. That said, if I were the owner I would have made sure that the guests were aware or offered a discounted rate. The condo’s location is good, right in the middle of Destin. The facility on the other hand was a mess. They were redoing the roof and painting the building. This unit being at the very end, right next to where the new roof was being put on. Half of your view is the beach and the other half is the roof. They really should not have this unit available during roof construction. We couldn’t sleep in because of the noise and no naps either. The elevator closest to the room was broken so we had to use the main elevators, which 1 of the main 4 elevators was broken as well. All elevators were very dirty. The condo was nice and clean, but the TV’s didn’t work, so we had to log on to our personal Netflix accounts. We also told them about a broken iron and never got a new one so we wore wrinkly clothes the entire time. Needless to say I don’t think we’ll ever come back to The Pelican.

Fantastic Vacation!

This was our families first vacation to a beach and everyone said it has been their favorite vacation. Our condo was very nice and clean, our beach view was perfect, and we were steps away from the beautiful white sands in Destin. The front desk staff welcomed us and were very friendly and we had the best time! We would definitely go back.

Perfect family stay

This was such a great space for a young family to spend the holidays. It's right on the beach, has ideal views of the ocean from the balcony, and the amenities give you plenty of options, even if the weather changes. Inside was very clean and had a great layout. Thank you again

First Family Beach Trip as a Family of 4

This condo was great and fit my family of 4 (38, 36, 4, & 1) perfectly! What I loved: the multiple pools, the Cafe, Tiki Bar, the location, & the fact the condo was supplied with EVERYTHING you could think you might want/need. What I think the Condo/Property could do better (most are property and Condo owners can't do much about): Elevator right by the condo didn't work. Made bringing things up to the room a bit more cumbersome. The Cafe hours could have been longer into the evening (especially when weather stinks or families have small children & dont want to adventure out.. or cook). Not allowing tents on the beach .. as a family with small children, shade is very important and the beach chairs available or the allowing of umbrellas to be set up .. isn't going to shade much. The front bedroom while I LOVED the twin beds for my girls, I didn't love that it blocked half the entrance into that bedroom's bathroom. Not sure how you fix it, but ankles were bruised getting into the bathroom. Haha Whatever you do, don't get rid of the twin beds - they were amazing for small kids. Again, overall, we will be back and these minor things will not keep us from staying in 718 again. Until next time! :)

Amazing Property

This condo was wonderful. It is very nicely furnished, well stocked and comfortable. Owner's are extremely friendly and helpful. I had to message them about one small issue and they responded immediately and got it taken care of. I highly recommend this condo for your Destin vacation.

Very nice!

The condo was great! The updates are very well done and you can tell they put a lot of thought into the details! Everything was very clean and it was great being right by the elevator and trash shoot. I would definitely stay at this condo and Pelican again!! Would highly recommend!

Gorgeous Condo!

We use VRBO every time we travel, but this property was gorgeous. Wood floors so beach sand is easy to clean up. Beautifully updated kitchen with Cuisinart knives and a breakfast bar comfortable for four. Two 3-cushion sofas so two couples are able to sit comfortably in the living room watching TV and listening to the waves break on the beach during dinner. Two private suites, each with its own full bathroom. The owners were so kind and informative, we lacked nothing!
