This hotel is amazing. The daytime front desk/breakfast is an amazing worker. She is familiar with Des Moines so when guest ask questions she can tell them. She helps make the stay awesome. Didn't catch the 2gentlemans name but they were very helpful and friendly also..Out of the 6 motel/ hotel within less than a mile apart this one is the best on so many levels.

Great amenities. Fridge, nice pillows and bedding, super comfy bed. Quiet for being on the freeway. Only complaint was a very loud occupant next door shouting into their phone at 2:00am. Not the property’s fault.

The front desk receptionist Megan was awesome. She corrected some mistakes upon check in and I really appreciated it. The rooms at this hotel was clean bit the carpet did have a musty smell but other than pretty clean. They had a great breakfast with a large selection. They even offered fried potatoes which was nice.

Austin and his wife were amazing, The couple should be managers at Marriott hotels. They jumped to perform any task, for my family. Multitasking & completing other tasks for a inexperienced staff members. The breakfast was great. We had a great choice of diary products and delicious menu items each day. I recommend Austin & his wife to be hired at the Marriott, Holiday Inn, or other high end Hotels in the Des moines area.

This property was great. A was a little concerned about not staying in a branded hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised what a great place this was. While this is a historic property, it is well maintained and the staff was amazing. We felt like we were staying with family. The breakfast buffet has a ton of options. Parking was close and safe. I highly recommend this property. Kudos to the management.
