Lakewood is a suburb 10 minutes west of Downtown Denver and it`s conveniently located on your way out to the mountains, you`ll be on I-70 in 5 minutes.
It`s highly recommended to have a car to get anywhere, however, you`ll appreciate how close everything is. If you`re not driving, Uber is relatively cheap, the nearest public transportation is the lightrail and it`s a 20-minute walk but will connect you with anywhere in the Denver Metro, including Denver International Airport.
