I have stayed here many times. I came up for my daughter’s college graduation. Once again I was pleased. The room was great and provided a nice sized refrigerator and a coffee pot! I’ll be back to stay next time I’m in Denton.
We had a really good night and the hotel was nice and clean. The only problem was one light kept flashing on and off and some pictures or something kept coming off the wall, honey. I don’t remember what they were saying, but that’s all.
The place was very clean, safe & quiet. We didn't feel threatened in any way! House cleaning was did and outstanding job & we had nothing missing!!!! Check in & out was good. There was no breakfast, but there are all kind of places to eat near by. Which are better than most of hotel / motel breakfasts any way. We will be staying there again.
Honestly, this place could use a major overhaul.. Although the gentleman behind the desk was very nice and accommodating, it was hard to look away and not notice how this motel was beyond low budget. I’m trying to be kind and respectful here. But if you could find a place that’s just $20 more, it may be worth it to stay elsewhere. The only reason we did not walk away is because we didn’t wanna have to deal with Expedia and we were in a hurry to get to an event that evening.
So me and my wife were in the room and felt like we were getting bit so we searched and found bed bugs, crickets, dead lizards, and ants. We asked for refund and they said that due to us being there and used the facilities they aren’t sure if that would be possible and that there would always be bugs and stuff do to it being a open concept where the room is 4 feet away from grass. And that it is up to there manager if that they could. They expected us to look around the room before using it for bugs and such to be able to get a full refund. Which is ridiculous I should not have to go look for bugs in a hotel I should be able to come in feeling safe not finding nor searching for dead or alive bugs. 1/10! No one should go there! Especially since it looks run down and was originally built in 1935 with little to no maintenance and flickering lights.
The room reeked of must & mildew. The towel rack looked and acted as though it was about to fall off. The soap holder in the shower did fall and nearly struck my wife’s foot.
I don’t know if the overall experience was compensated by the low fare price.

The mattress was a little worn out but still comfortable. The door was also really drafty

I check in around mid night with my family (wife and baby) after having a rough night I called next morning to request an extension for check out and was denied. Bathroom was not even clean, towels had hairs on them but overall the room was ok, I’d probably stay in this place in the future because of the price..
