Saturday Farm is charming and idyllic. We’ve stayed there a few times since 2016. The house itself is a welcoming friend! Built by a sea captain in the 1800’s, its history is honored in every room. For those of you who love historic character and Cape Cod architecture, then you’ll feel at home straight away. The furnishings are a mix of antique and locally made new. Everything is of quality and very well done. Cooking on the incredible antique stove is a highlight!
The owners, Cindy and Harry, help us with anything during our stay. They are easily accessible as they live on the lane by the farm. They don’t hover, yet they are always nearby if we have questions. Their gentle kindness and welcoming spirits make this special spot in the world more than just an overnight place to sleep. Saturday Farm is a delightful destination.
In addition to the impressive historic house, they have created inviting surroundings. The organic herb garden is quite special. Best of all, there are two resident sheep who keep the lawn naturally mowed. They are so charming and add many smiles to my visit. One of the most special things is waking up to a sea breeze coming through the windows (they do have ac, but we don’t use it while we’re there so we can enjoy the fresh Cape Cod air!) while hearing the sheep bells in the back garden. Some of our deepest and most restful sleeps have happened at Saturday Farm. It feels like the most special of Saturdays, every single day, while we are there.
