The property is beautiful - secluded and private yet close to everything in Denali. There was plenty of room and space for our large group (from ages 11 months to 60), and the home had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Only wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be staying here again if/when we are back to visit Denali.
What a perfect cabin to experience Denali Park from! Spacious and cozy! Very clean and readily useable with fully stocked kitchen. Beds super comfortable as well! Hope to stay there again some day!
The house was perfect for our family. We named the upper family room the sanctuary. The views were amazing up there, lots of room for all of us to sit and relax. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Owner was very nice and responsive.
This was a great location just outside the park and down the road from all the shopping and some really good restaurants. We were 1/4 mile from iditarod dogs and puppies (worth a visit). The house was large and in the woods. We only saw squirrels and dogs while staying there but I imagine you can see a moose occasionally
An easy 5 mile drive to Denali entrance. Nice, quiet, comfortable accommodations for our group of 4 couples. Would definitely stay here again. Hope to make it back one day.
Stayed at the cabin for 2 nights to take a day tour into Denali National Park prior to taking a 1 week cruise. Stayed in constant contact with Jessica before our arrival, due to the Denali (Riley Fire). She was extremely kind, helpful and understanding throughout our communication. Her home was warm, inviting and secluded. We had a nice time for the 3 days and 2 nights during our stay at, “Kings Deer Lodge”.
Great location for everything we wanted to do. Really comfy beds, amazing views, and we saw a mommy moose with her calves, and a wolf!
Alaska - still my favourite state!!
This is a fantastic property with lots of room for everyone! A great kitchen and living area to relax. Beautiful views in a peaceful environment. Very close to Denali National Park!
We had a great stay. The lodge had lots of room for us all. We don’t live in a place where it snows, so coming in fall, with some snow on the ground, made us uneasy, but the drive to the lodge was no problem at all in an AWD minivan.
The house is gorgeous and spacious!! We were pleased that it was clean and fully stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, etc. thank for letting us stay in your lovely home!
This house is gorgeous!! We loved our stay here. We stayed for 5 nights and loved all the extra room we had. There were toys for the kids, good movie selections, and room to play games. With only a 10 minute drive to Denali National Park, it made our trip very easy. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!!
A great house for large groups. We had three families staying staying at the house and it accommodated all of us with room to spread out. This was our second stay at Kings Deer Lodge. Last time was in the spring/winter. It’s nice in all seasons.
We wanted a true Alaska experience and got it!!! The lodge was perfect in every way , most especially location! It was the best!! Very close to the Denali National Park and lots of close by local excursions.Great eateries, shopping, coffee shops. We rafted, hiked, toured the park, panned for gold, zip lined and saw the Ididarod huskies. Can recommend it enough!!!!
Perfect location for Denali adventures. The house is surrounded by boreal forest. Wonderful opportunity for the kids to explore and learn.
We were able to access the programs at Denali and the flight seeing is around the corner at Denali Airport.
Worked out great for us. No significant complaints other than downstairs was a bit musty and we did not receive good directions to reach the property…neither of which would prevent us from renting this home again.
My extended family of 13 just completed our three night stay at King's Deer Lodge. It was great. There were plenty of beds and plenty of bathrooms even for our large group. Also, ample and comfortable living space and areas to relax, both in the house and on the deck.. We cooked in each night--there were plenty of dishes and utensils, and pretty much everything we needed for meal preparation (lots of pots, pans, baking sheets, cooking utensils, etc.). A large skillet would be a good addition. The proximity to Denali National Park was perfect and communications with the owner were great. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others and would stay here again,

Out standing place for a family vacation
I’m actually afraid to write this review as I’m worried this gem of a vacation rental will become so popular that we will never be able to stay there again! This was a perfect rental for our family (5 adults and 2 toddlers). The house upon arrival was in immaculate condition – felt so clean and fresh. The rooms were perfectly outfitted – pack ‘n plays for the small ones and comfy beds for the adults. Location was amazing – right at the base of Denali National Park … only took about 10-minutes to get to the visitor’s center. Even outside of the park but near the home, lots of amenities available – the amazing 229 Parks Restaurant (Top Chef contestant) and the Husky Homestead Tour (to not be missed) minutes away. Could not say enough about the owner’s responsiveness and hospitality. This is a special place!
