Excellent place to stay! Very clean and comfortable, easy to get to and breakfast was provided also. Will definitely stay here again if I ever come back!
This is a very nice place. The host is very knowledgeable about the area. He has great recommendations. The Bed and breakfast is up a gravel road, and fairly remote, but the drive to Talkeetna is not too long. The view of Denali is spectacular, if the weather is right.
Our room was comfy and homey and that view from our balcony of Denali was perfect. When we got there just a little patch could be seen from the balcony but the next morning the view was sooooo pretty. I would encourage everyone too book the room! Good soul food!
The hosts were very responsive to all my questions. Even before traveling we were in cabin six and it is a beautiful gorgeous view cabin. I knew it was a mountain view cabin but I did not know that the mountains are something I can view from my cabin deck. I could view Mount McKinley and the other two mountains really clearly right from my cabin deck and my window so it was one of the best views we had, even as compared to Denali National Park when we were there.
It's a gorgeous cabin. I'd highly recommend people who love views to pick this cabin and stay. The cabin inside is a little older but they've kept it very clean and nice. For us to stay one night with my family was very comfortable. I would recommend people to stay here. The host also offers breakfast in the morning, a light continental breakfast that also worked great for us. The only thing is that it is around five miles away from the main Talkeetna downtown. We had a car so it did not matter to us but if you did not have a car then reaching downtown for any food would be difficult.
Great place to stay with comfy beds and amazing views from the deck of the mountain range. The breakfast is nice and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming

Our room was very clean. It was a cute bed and breakfast and the host was friendly
Wow, wow, wow! This was one of our favorite stays during our trip to Alaska. Although the location is convenient to downtown Talkeetna, the property is secluded and quiet. We stayed in the panoramic mountain view room with the balcony and it was worth every single penny! Although it took a few hours of sitting out on the balcony enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, we were blessed with clear and stunning views of Denali - better views than when we were much closer even. The room felt like being at home - very comfortable, clean, and with the most spacious bathroom. We appreciated all of the little extras in the bathroom, too. Our only encounter with the owner was during breakfast. He was friendly, welcoming, and engaged us with stories about the area. Breakfast was simple - a wide variety of cereal options, a few fresh fruit options, and delicious homemade banana bread, along with coffee, tea, milk, orange juice. It was also so charming to find and read a journal with entries from other guests dating back over several years. We highly recommend this property and hope to be able to stay again sometime.
This place felt like home, and we were so sad to leave! Bill is a wonderful host who goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable, including the wide breakfast spread every morning, the amazing recommendations for hikes and activities he provides, and the cozy rooms that were just perfect! On a clear day, you will have a great view of Denali and the rest of the Alaskan Range. This place is a must stay for everyone visiting Talkeetna/Denali, you won't regret it!
Highly recommend a stay at Grace & Bill's! The view of Denali, the quiet surroundings, comfortable, clean rooms and breakfast! Top notch! It was nice to get away from all of the visitors/tourism and just enjoy true Alaska.
We loved our stay here, the room was very cozy and comfortable. Every item was well thought through..
We also loved the amazing views of the Denali mountains from the deck..
The following morning, we had a wonderful breakfast there, we got to eat some home baked blueberry bread which was so tasty.
Bill gave us some useful tips about hiking areas along our drive to Denali.. overall this was an amazing experience!!
This is a lovely B&B on the hill behind Talkeetna. Our room, which was upstairs, had amazing views of Denali and the Alaska Range of mountains. It was also very spacious and clean. Breakfast is self-serve, but plentiful with lots of options. We loved this B&B, especially because of the views and the north-facing orientation of the balconies, which meant we could see the Northern Lights right from our room balcony or the main balcony of the house.
It is a quaint B&B. Bill was was friendly and a good host. The homemade breakfast bread and fruit that I had each morning was delicious. The view from the back porch is spectacular! We enjoyed our stay at Grace and Bill’s Freedom Hills.
