OK hotel not great

We ordered this hotel on hotles website. The hotel was OK but not great. The water in the shower had no pressure and wasn't hot. The air-conditioning worked but was loud. Even though it's wrotten that breakfast is included it isn't definitely not buffet. we paid for dry cornflakes.

Staff behaviour was little impolite. All amenities thats has been mentioned at the time of booking were not available at the hotel. Geyser was not at all functioning. No matter how many times that i raised the issue with the management, they did nothing.

Dirty room, a bit of a walk to train station

I stayed here for two nights before heading to Agra. When i checked in, the bathroom was not clean and the sheets and towels all had stains and marks on it. Maybe just a common theme with 3 star hotels in India but this was a little bit worse. The hotel is also a bit of a walk to the train station and in a pretty sketchy area too. There are better options out there.

The sound insolation is very bad, so we felt we live not alone. In the bathroom, the water stayed on the floor for several hours, and it was difficult to reach the toa. We chosed no-smoking room but somebody stayed beside our room and smoked each day.

Great hotel, value for money, very pleasant staff

Although the hotel is in a little shady location in paharganj, service was great and staff were very helpful. Hot water, air conditioning was great. Room had one minor issue, it smelt a little of naphthalene balls which were used in adjacent washroom. Will stay again regardless.

Un grand accueil

C'est le premier endroit où nous sommes restés quand nous sommes arrivés en Inde. Le personnel était exceptionnellement amical et serviable. Nous sommes restés encore quand nous étions de retour à Delhi. Le restaurant est sympa. Dans l'ensemble c'est un bon rapport qualité / prix car l'emplacement est super pour faire du shopping à Paharganj.

Geweldige locatie in het centrum van Delhi, dicht bij het treinstation en een klein eindje rijden van de vele toeristische bezienswaardigheden. Onze kamer was schoon en comfortabel. Perfect start for a city trip

We stayed at this hotel for sightseeing in the city of Delhi and this hotel made it possible. We could reach all the wonderful sights and shopping areas within a few minutes taxi ride from the hotel, and really enjoyed a day trip. The hotel itself was clean and had great staff. I would recommend this to everyone as a perfect start to a trip.

Würde wieder für einen längeren Aufenthalt

Bett war sehr bequem und die Dusche war wirklich gut. Badezimmer selbst winzig, aber insgesamt gut. Angestellten des Hotels waren ausgezeichnet und hilfsbereit. Sie halfen uns, Taxi vom und zum Flughafen zu einem sehr guten Preis zu arrangieren. Lage ist wirklich schön, nah genug an alles.

Perfect for a quick stay

Ideally located near the train station and close to the city center as well. The reception staff were great, polite and helpful. Room very comfortable and also quiet. The only complaint is that the bathroom was not so clean. But overall I am happy with the stay and would definitely stay here again.

Cons: walls, blinds were filthy; furniture was dusty; wi-fi was weak; staff never cleaned our room during a 3~night stay; walls were very thin so the room was noisy. Pros: Close to the main train station — within walking distance if you don’t mind a stroll through filth and chaos. Front desk staff was helpful. A/C worked well. By international standards it rates 0 stars; by Indian standards it’s a bit below average.

BEST VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY!!

If you are looking for a hotel on a budget, this hotel is your answer. I stayed at optimum for 8 days and I only have great things to say about this hotel and the staff! I am half Indian, half Nepali, from California, USA. I came to Delhi alone for my wedding shopping. I was looking for a safe hotel in a convenient location. I came across Optimum baba hotel on Expedia and loved the reviews. Being aware of the risks of a woman traveling alone in India , I was a little nervous about staying in Delhi by myself, but my concerns were soon put to ease by the staff. They went up and beyond to make my stay comfortable~from checking up on me regularly to helping me find the right people for all my wedding shopping needs~they even went to the extent of finding me a stitching lady who could stitch all my wedding clothes in a short time. All the staff are pleasant and super helpful and I honestly can not thank them enough for all their help, but I want to give a special shot out to Vishal (the chef), Kuddues (room service) and Vijay (the front desk receptionist). Vishal's food is dilicious!! I mostly ate at the hotel. and didn't get sick once. He was a great friend and always made sure that my belly was full with yummy food. Another HUGE shout out to Kuddus. He is the nicest guy who always has a big smile on his face. I was freaking out about my extra luggage and packing on my last day. He was so kind to get me the weighing machine and help me pack.

The neighbourhood is not appealing at all but the hotel itself was ok. The restaurant food was great but the restaurant area could be improved appearance wise. The stuff organised a cab guy for us who wasn't very helpful & ended up conning us so hopefully they improve on the services they help setup otherwise the stay was ok

Wonderful experience

Had a wonderful experience - very clean and cozy room, the beds were huge and the bathroom was of a good size. English TV channels available. The staff was wonderful, providing us with all the tourist information we asked for, and making reservations for tours and taxis.

Good-value hotel

Well appointed room, but the beds were not so comfortable to sleep in so it was somewhat disappointing for us. The bathroom was huge and shower was excellent. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. We would stay here again, but probably need to change your beds selections.
