We just spent 3 very pleasant days at Dunkerley’s. It’s in a great location in the centre of Deal opposite the sea. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is excellent and great value.

Lovely stay

Another lovely stay at Dunkerleys. Friendly staff, great location and room. As per our last review bed is a bit hard for our liking but it does! Excellent rain shower. Breakfast very nice. Booked again.

Excellent value for money with a really good breakfast . The location is fantastic - right on the sea front near the pier. Our room was on the 2nd floor up a fairly steep narrow staircase so may have been an issue for less mobile guests but was spacious and clean with good facilities including a bath.

Good deal in Deal

Nice hotel right on the seafront with quiet en suite bedrooms. Nice and friendly staff with pleasant bar restaurant. Local parking easy but zoned.

Lovely stay

Very nice one night stay. Hotel is nicely located opposite Deal beach. Lady at check in was friendly and helpful. Lovely room overlooking the beach and pier, good bathroom with a bath and rain shower. Hospitality tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Breakfast was good with drinks, cereals, fruit and yoghurt followed by choice of cooked food and toast. Staff were polite. Note there is no parking on site, but there are various parking options close by. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Ideal and Central to Deal Waterfront & Castle.

Very central to Deal Castle, Shopping Centre & Beach Front. Attractions within easy walking. Some excellent Restaurants in Back Streets. Breakfast Menu & Staff at Hotel EXCELLENT. Room was ideal for couple, for couple Nights. If elderly stairs may cause issue however if care taken should be no problem.

The hotel is very conveniently located, overlooking the beach & only a few minutes walk from Deal railway station as well as being close to the high street and supermarkets. The room was spacious, well presented and immaculately clean. Despite being above the restaurant, it was nice and quiet & I enjoyed a good night's sleep in the very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and professional. Good breakfast (included in the very reasonable price of the stay). Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Lovely sea-front restaurant-with-rooms

I was delighted by my stay. The room was very comfortable, with lovely views over the sea-front/pier. It was a bit of a climb to the second floor (no lift) but I managed. The room (11) had everything I needed, was very clean. Breakfast was excellent - good, meaty, herby sausage, good bacon. Service, by the young staff, was highly personable and pleasant. I'd left my mobile phone at home and they were so helpful, sorting out taxis etc for me. I thought this one-night stay was remarkable value and have no hesitation at all in recommending Dunkerleys. Indeed, I hope to return.

It's a bit tried around the edges - carpets and bar. Had top room, all ok yet a bit smelly on landings to get there... Overall it's good value with nice staff and good breakfast! Not bad for times we're in...

This hotel was recommended by friends who have stay there or live close by. The accommodation was reasonable if a little tired. The hot water in my room and a friends room was very hot and miss and after three cold showers I managed a hot one. I boiled the kettle so I could shave. Just a tidy up and cleaning around the widow would have merited a higher score. I only had breakfasts when I stayed and they were lovely. Staff were great.

It was hot in my room due to the heat...even at night! Aircon didn't work...and when I asked them to fix it for my 2nd night stay it wasn't fixed. I felt they didn't care. Also early morning sun bashed into my room...why they not use black out curtains or blinds. Otherwise room was very clean and comfortable.

Room was disappointing

Weekend stay for my birthday. Location was great and parking was £10 for 24 hours about 7 mins walk away. Went with another couple and we both got our room keys. They were upstairs and their room was fine but we were put put the back of the hotel and our room was really cold with a damp patch on the wall and corridor had a horrible smell. Felt very disappointed but we were not in the room long so just accepted it. The bar was really nice and staff were friendly. Went to other bars nearby which were all nice. Breakfast was great and included in the price. Other than the room we enjoyed our stay
