The staff was great and the access to the ocean was amazing. The only two things I didn’t like was the elevator not seeming safe as it shakes and makes a lot of noise. As well as the room having a smell of wetness, it didn’t smell dirty but not clean either. I can’t put my finger it. Overall the stay was good and the staff was nice.

Downtown Daytona is…ghetto. Not what I expected- and not for that price. Literally flooded with drug addiction and homelessness. We went down the boardwalk once when we got there at night- never again! We didn’t go anywhere downtown at night due to people asking for money and walking around messed up on something. People were walking through the hotel from the beach all day (NOT guests) the common areas were not kept locked. We went in May, so I can’t imagine during Spring Break or a holiday.The paint was chipping everywhere. The outside stairs to the beach were missing a step. Lots of garbage right around the property. For the price, do better. The breakfast was mediocre at best. They had waffles to make and NO syrup. The front desk was friendly, but the rest of the staff couldn’t care less about guests. The parking was full constantly at night and not secure. The property is right next to a popular bar, so if you’re looking for a quiet evening in your room- this is not it. The hotel bar was barely open, so if you did want a beverage, you had to go elsewhere. The boardwalk is a joke. 3 stores that all sell the same items and one arcade that overcharges for a game. There was police presence one night when a popular band was playing, but not any other time and there definitely needed to be. The entire area is run down and every shop or restaurant is not even close to being something decent. Pros- the coffee was good and they had lemon water available (until it ran out).

I have travelled all over the world and this was my first visit to Daytona Beach. I have never experienced a situation as my daughter and I did checking into this so called hotel. The property is old, run down and dirty. It’s in an unsafe neighborhood with vagrants walking around and camping nearby.when checking into the hotel and expressing some concerns the front staff member was incredibly rude and told me I didn’t have to stay there if I didn’t like it and that he could refuse to check me in u til he decided he wanted to. I have never had such inappropriate and abrasive behavior toward me. his behavior is indicative of the type of property it was. I paid almost $400/night for 3 nights. $1300,00 for run down outdated room with no shower door,sheets that hadn’t been changed on one of the beds, large water stains on the shower ceiling, iron but no board, the only electrical outlet in the bathroom was by the light switch, 2 feet away from the sink counter. I would NOT recommend staying here. Gross!

The hotel staff was awesome! From the front desk, Nicole Hayes, to Asst General Mgr, Suzanne Scowden, as well as the maintenance man, Ken, all were very helpful and accommodating! We had a family reunion and we stayed four nights. We were given access to a meeting room for playing games and daily gathering. I did have an issue in my room, which was immediately resolved by Ken and Suzanne. One concern I had was with the tile floors in our room which were not very clean. The breakfast was ok. I would recommend they add fresh fruit and more variety. Overall, our stay was great.
